Bringing Up Bates fans are reacting to a recent risqué photo shared by newlyweds Nathan Bates and Esther Keyes. The couple surprisingly shared an edgier photo of themselves on social media recently, leaving fans questioning the Bates family’s strict beliefs.
If you’re a fan of the Bates and Duggar families, you probably know all about their modesty and purity rules. The girls aren’t allowed to wear pants or wear any clothing that is too revealing. They are raised believing that they are not supposed to show off their bodies or “cause men to stumble.”
It looks like Nathan and Esther might be ditching those strict modesty rules and doing things differently. And they aren’t afraid to show fans.

On her Instagram page, Esther recently shared a Reel, featuring moments from her first few months of marriage to Nathan. The slideshow features lots of sweet pictures of the couple. However, it also includes a slightly raunchy snap that fans wouldn’t expect from the Bringing Up Bates crew.
In one clip, the pair is sitting in a bubble bath together. They’re covered in bubbles, so fans can’t see anything.

On the Duggar Bates Confessions page on Instagram, several fans submitted anonymous posts about the bathtub shot.
Bringing Up Bates fans think that it’s only risqué by the Bates family’s standards. Typically, a photo like this wouldn’t be a surprise. But because the Bates family is all about modesty, this comes as quite a shock.
One fan writes, “I was shocked to see this photo in the reel Esther posted for their 4 month anniversary. Most of the Bates/Duggars would NEVER post something this risqué. Even though they’re covered, it’s still crazy coming from them!”
Someone else claims that the photo is “too much.”
One fan says, “I didn’t expect it from them but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. Good for her.”
Others are claiming that the Bates family is being hypocritical. They comment, “They don’t practice what they preach!”
Someone else adds, “They go from if you show your cleavage you are tempting men to posting pics about your s*x life. It’s so polar opposite.”

I am so sick of these stupid posts….they are married, they are in love, they are covered and show NOTHING… Please stop with all this foolishness..The Bates bring up their family with morals yes, but they also trust their children and when they reach the age of accountability they trust them and allow them to making their own decisions during engagement and courting, especially for the ones who are older like Nathan, Lawson and Trace….Leave this wonderful family alone…

I am 56 years old people need to mind their own business. There is nothing wrong with the picture..don’t like what you see …DONT LOOK. Glad this young couple love each other and are not scared to show it.
I love the Bates family and I’m so glad they are in love so why is it wrong for them to show love the same way I show love or anyone else shows love just let them do what makes them happy there is not a thing wrong with that so I say love anyway that makes you happy
The only reason this picture could be considered “raunchy” would be because your assuming what you can’t see!! Your imagination is making it raunchy!!!
