Memphis’s Journey To 90 Day Fiance Love

Prior to going on Before the 90 Days, Memphis had a rough upbringing. She went through a period of time when she was homeless while her mother battled addiction. Throughout it all, she shares it has all made her a stronger person. She works hard for her two children and has not given up on love despite being divorced. That’s how she met Hamza when the two were on an international dating site. Eventually, they decided to get married in his native Tunisia so she flew over from Michigan to meet him and his family. Memphis learned he was younger than he initially told her. She was also a little taken aback to learn they would not be sharing a bed despite getting married. However, she decided she was still going to marry him but wanted a prenup to protect her children. As the wedding was fast approaching, she consulted her attorney back home and he said the element of time was too short. They could do a postnup which was not as secure. This left Memphis questioning the marriage. More so, it left viewers questioning why she even needed a prenup in the first place.

What’s With The Prenup?

Memphis is very proud of how far she has come in life. She finished college and is now a successful nurse practitioner. The mom of two also worked as a phlebotomist and may also still do that on the side which means she does have a great career. She shared she wanted to protect her children in case Hamza decided to leave her, which is fair. Unfortunately, it seems the prenup could be null in void if Hamza comes over through a marriage visa according to a Reddit thread.

“Ok, so the rules say she would have to pay back the government for any financial support he applied for (for the next 10 years). I’d imagine most of them file for government support when they separate unless they landed a great job. So she’s on the hook for him if he can’t pay his own way,” one Redditor shared after some research. Another added: “She makes 130K a year, def needs a prenup!” He has an HVAC certification in his country so he could try to do the same in America. Plus, she said she would support him until he got on his feet.

According to a source, a psychiatric nurse practitioner makes around $111,330/ year in Michigan. That’s nothing to sneeze at but it is unclear if she has student debt to pay back or other expenses. Yet if you are marrying a man you don’t truly know and have been burned in the past, maybe a prenup is not the worst idea.
