Memphis And Hamza Mokni Tie The Knot

It’s been confirmed that Memphis Smith and Hamza Mokni are officially married. Memphis even changed her last name. The news broke after online records showed that Memphis registered to vote last October under her new married name: Memphis Chardell-Arden Mokni. There isn’t any information available about when the couple got married or where, but Memphis has taken Hamza’s last name.

When she went to visit Hamza in his home country of Tunisia to meet him for the first time, Memphis put a lot of pressure on them both. She was determined to return to the United States as a married woman.

Her single desired outcome from the trip was to leave Mrs. Mokni. However, despite her drive to get married, Memphis requested Hamza sign a prenuptial agreement. That isn’t something that is common in his culture.

Talking About Their Relationship On ’90 Day Fiance’

Memphis has been upfront about their relationship on the TLC show. She said she grew to have feelings for Hamza during the time they’ve gotten to know each other. She still has her guard up though.

The 90 Day Fiance star has already been through one divorce and has worked hard to kickstart a career in the medical field. Memphis says she simply wants to protect her family. Because prenups aren’t common in his culture, Hamza felt like Memphis was asking for him to sign paperwork due to a lack of trust.

On Sunday night’s episode, Memphis opened up in a confessional, “Hamza and I love and have grown to trust each other. But at the end of the day, it is very important for me to be smart in this whole situation.” She went on to say that Hamza did agree to sign prenuptial agreements and other paperwork before getting married. Memphis said she wanted to do this to protect herself and her children if he ever decides to leave.

In a preview for the next episode, it was shown that Memphis was going to discuss postponing the wedding with Hamza and his family. Although everything was in place for the ceremony, Memphis still didn’t have all the paperwork in order. Without a prenup to protect them, she felt moving forward put her kids’ financial future at risk.

Viewers will get to watch it unfold next episode of 90 Day Fiance on Sunday at 8 p.m. EST. It leaves viewers wondering if the couple will make it or not. Don’t worry though, they still tie the knot in the end!
