Returns to social media with a fiery selfie: ‘a lot of things happening’
On March 18, Whitney Way Thore made her triumphant return to Instagram with a fiery selfie. The snapshot shows off a glammed-up look for the reality star, including red lipstick.
“Hey y’all,” she casually greeted her followers. “Sorry I’ve been gone. A lot of life has been happening,” Thore added.
Her last post was on February 10th, when she wished her dad Glenn a happy 76th birthday.
Speaking of Thore’s parents, one follower left a comment comparing Whitney to her mother, Barbara. “Does Babs know you’ve stolen her identity??” they wrote.
“That was the goal!” Whitney responded.
However, the selfie wasn’t the only snapshot in the photo dump. Longtime viewers of MBFFL noticed a familiar face snoozing on Whitney Way Thore’s couch – her ex-boyfriend Lennie.
Did she dump her French boyfriend and reunite with Lennie?
During Season 9, Thore developed a crush on her online French tutor. Their lessons eventually turned romantic, with Whitney spending a few weeks in France in the summer of 2021.
She’s been clear that her French beau has no desire to appear on the TLC show. Did that cause trouble in their relationship? After all, she hinted at some big life changes.
Many of her followers left comments asking about Lennie’s appearance on her sofa. “Is that Lennie on the sofa ??!!” one person asked. Whitney Way Thore replied with a simple, “Yes,” confirming it was her ex in the photo.
Another follower asked Thore to “spill the tea” and Whitney did in response to another comment. She assured fans that she’s “just friends” with Lennie.
However, she didn’t appear to address the status of her relationship with her French beau. The last time she mentioned him, she hinted at trying to have a baby with him.
Fans will have to wait until Season 10 to find out if they are still together. TLC has yet to reveal an airdate for the new season, but Whitney Way Thore confirmed she was filming the reality show.
