Kody Brown Likens His Wives To Herd Of Cattle?
Kody Brown hasn’t always been delicate when it comes to his wives. He called Christine a crybaby and referred to Robyn as “obedient.” Fans have taken notice of the way he talked about being a husband on social media. Redditors see him a little too tone-deaf for their liking. Are they making a mountain out of a molehill or is he typical Kody?
Kody Brown And All Of His Wives
After twelve years and sixteen seasons, viewers have long questioned how four women could marry Kody. He is reactive and can be quite abrasive. The attitude he had conveyed is of someone quite controlling and it has led to the downfall of three of his marriages. When Sister Wives first began, he had three functioning marriages. Meri, Janelle, and Christine all seemed to be living perfectly fine in their single home with their twelve children. Christine was expecting their thirteenth child. At the same time, he was courting his fourth wife Robyn, and the attention he gave her led to mass jealousies.
He more than doted on Robyn and that was apparent. While Christine was in labor and they were just engaged, Kody and Robyn were kissing. They were not even married. As time went on, the family moved, Meri “cheated” while the wives gained independence. By the time they all moved to Flagstaff, he and Meri were just friends, the issues with Christine ran deep and a pandemic was on the horizon. The way he handled it struck a nerve with Janelle so hard that he admitted they were no longer in love by the Season 16 tell-all.
With Meri, Janelle, and Christine all financially independent, they did not need a husband. In actuality, no one really knew what Kody’s profession was. Family money did not mean the same thing as it once did. Christine apparently threatened to leave Kody so much that their marriage lost intimacy. Kody told her that part of the marriage was officially done so she opted for divorce. In the end, Janelle and Meri seemingly have stayed out of obligation and faith. Robyn stays for love.
An Inappropriate Statement
On Kody Brown’s Instagram, he says he’s a “husband to four. I love ’em all.” Redditors have not taken kindly to that description and a thread was started about it. ““Love ‘em all” sounds like something you would say about your herd of cows,” one commented. Another added: “The way it’s written sounds like he’s husband to four of his children…” This was a common thought, that it sounded more like he was speaking about kids or family members. However, it definitely was not how you referred to wives you loved.
One fan had this to say: “The fact that he felt like he had to state I love ‘em all” says that he doesn’t love them all. It’s like if you got an ugly shirt as a gift and you say, “This is the best shirt ever!” so people don’t know that you really hate it.” All of the comments are valid but in the end, it shows he does not pay much attention to his social media. Why? His social media still says he has four wives and he only has three. Either he still believes he is married to Christine as Robyn feels he is or his Instagram is outdated.
