Kaitlyn Bristowe Stands Up For Clayton Echard Amid Controversy
The Bachelor Clayton Echard is having a rough time as the lead of the hit reality television show. Now, things have gotten even worse for him after Tuesday night’s fantasy suite episode. It didn’t end well and Clayton is left in a tough spot. Most have bashed his character and actions. However, one person has his back, former Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Kaitlyn Bristowe defends Clayton Echard
US Weekly shared what Kaitlyn Bristowe had to say on her Instagram Story about Clayton and other leads sleeping with multiple contestants. Fans have been slamming Clayton for what went down on Tuesday night’s fantasy suite episode.
Kaitlyn has been in Clayton’s shoes before when she was The Bachelorette. So, her opinion of how he’s being treated is a bit different.
Kaitlyn said, “I’m just going to speak from personal experience — I can’t say if you’re in that position because when would you ever be in that position, but when you’re in that position, you are making a life-altering decision.”
She continued, “You genuinely fall in love with more [than one] person, so why would you not be intimate with more than one person and when you’re trying to find the person to spend the rest of your life with? Why do we judge so hard on this?”
She shared even more thoughts on the subject
Kaitlyn said, “I would even care to say that it’s more heartbreaking to meet somebody’s family and then break up with them than it is to be intimate with them.” She went on to say, “Take it for what it is, but it’s just my opinion. The show is to find someone to spend the rest of your life with.”
The former lead also shared that if intimacy is important to the lead or contestant then that is a conversation that needs to be had before fantasy suites. She also clarified should that conversation happen and boundaries set ahead of time then that changes the narrative.
Kaitlyn also shared a clip from Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2015 in which she was asked if Chris Soules slept with all three final women if she would be mad. She responded, “No. I can’t be. It’s part of the process. You can’t take out a car without test driving it.”
Kaitlyn also admitted that she sees both sides of the story.
Clayton appearing on Kaitlyn’s podcast
Kaitlyn also revealed that Clayton would be interviewed on her Off the Vine podcast Wednesday morning. After this interview took place she shared another story that said Clayton is very much in his feelings. She noted that he explains everything and gave more context to what viewers saw Tuesday night.

Uh…Susie is also making a life altering decision Kaitlin and has every right to be hurt and question the validity of his love after sleeping with 2 other women in the same week.
Kaitlyn, we are all glad you see Clayton’s side. You standing up for a man that lashes out at woman like he did with Susie when she confronts him is just sad. Sleeping with the other women aside, there is no excuse for a man to lash out at a woman like that. His actions throughout the season were questionable. That showed his true character. I hope he takes some time to grow up before he decides to marry anyone.
