‘When Calls The Heart’ Season 9: Does Nathan Accept Elizabeth’s Decision?
When Calls The Heart Season 8 ended with Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) choosing Lucas (Chris McNally) over Nathan (Kevin McGarry). Now that the love triangle is over, does Nathan accept Elizabeth’s decision?

When Calls The Heart Season 9 Preview Shows Uncomfortable Nathan
In the Canadian When Calls The Heart Canadian preview includes an uncomfortable moment with Nathan and Elizabeth. About six seconds into the preview, the mustached Mountie looks at Elizabeth. The school teacher is holding Little Jack and does not seem to notice Nathan at first.
However, when it looks like she sees him he immediately turns 180 degrees, towards Faith, who is right next to him.
Does this mean that Nathan is angry with Elizabeth? Is he going to cause her and Lucas trouble?
Does Nathan Accept Elizabeth’s Decision?
Based on the When Calls The Heart Season 9 short preview, Hearties may believe that Nathan does not accept Elizabeth’s decision. However, Kevin McGarry recently spoke to ET to discuss the upcoming season. Moreover, he sets the record straight.
In the interview, McGarry assures fans that his character is moving on. However, it is not a fast process. The video preview shows how uncomfortable he is. His heart has not healed. Eventually he “comes to terms with how happy she is and he learns to accept it.” Ultimately, he truly cares about Elizabeth.
We don’t just pick up like he’s all better. But without a doubt, Elizabeth’s happiness has always been his main focus and he sees how happy she is.

Will Nathan And Lucas Get Along In When Calls The Heart Season 9?
Not only will Nathan accept Elizabeth’s decision, but he will also see “what a good guy Lucas is, even though he sometimes is a little wary of his decisions or the way he handles things.”
Moreover, the love triangle has morphed into something new. “If it wasn’t a love triangle, there’s something that always connected those characters… and drama ensues when they’re together, so I think it’s a great thing when we see the three of them together.”
Will Nathan Find Romance In When Calls The Heart Season 9?
Although Nathan did not find his romantic partner in Elizabeth, will Nathan Grant rebound and find a special lady to love? Kevin McGarry told the Hallmark Happenings podcast that there could be three potential romantic choices for his character.
First, there is Mei Sou (Amanda Wong), who is new to Hope Valley. She is coming from Chicago. Moreover, McGarry hints she may be running or hiding from something that may require some quality time with law enforcement.
Next, there is Faith (Andrea Brooks). She just broke up with Dr. Carson Shepherd (Paul Greene) and is now single and mending a heart. Some episode photos show him all bandaged up, so there is an opportunity for him to get cozy with her.
Lastly, Kevin hints that Nathan starts the season with a mustache. But, he ends the season without a mustache. Fiona (Kayla Wallace) is a barber. Could they have bonded over his facial grooming?
