Bachelor alum takes romantic vacation with girlfriend Rachael Kirkconnell
After breaking up prior to the After the Final Rose special, Matt James reconciled with final rose winner Rachael Kirkconnell. The two have been inseparable ever since.
Heavy reports that James recently expressed regret over the way he treated Kirkconnell amid accusations of racism. When his season of the ABC dating show was airing, photos surfaced online of Kirkconnell attending an Old South-themed college party in 2018.
He subsequently ended their romance only to get back together weeks later.
In January of 2022, they returned to the Pennsylvania resort where Season 25 of The Bachelor was filmed. The duo then jetted off to Europe for a romantic vacation in Italy.
However, when they returned to the states, Matt James found himself going viral on social media for all the wrong reasons.
Matt James gets handsy during awkward moment
The Bachelor alum was one of many celebrities taking part in the NBA’s All-Star weekend festivities. Other stars playing on the celebrity team include country singer Jimmie Allen and rapper Machine Gun Kelly.
The co-ed roster also included comedian Tiffany Haddish and actress Brittney Elena.
At one point in the game, Matt James got a little handsy with Brittney. What happened?
When the reality star was preparing to make a free throw, Elena tapped his hand in a “You got this” move. James absentmindedly returned the encouraging pat, but accidentally copped a feel of his teammate’s chest.
The clip went viral on Twitter when the Dan Le Batard Show shared the clip, writing “I think Matt James forgot that there are women on his team.”

Tyler Cameron trolls his bestie
Matt James isn’t having a great year with sports. Earlier this month, he had to apologize to a photographer after a golfing mishap.
Bachelor Nation alum Tyler Cameron couldn’t help but troll his bestie after his latest faux pas. Cameron took to his Twitter to roast his pal for a bad sports streak.
“Damn Matt, air balled two free throws and a boob punch… not your night,” he joked. Tyler further jested, “We’re running out of sports you can try.”

For her part in the embarrassing incident, Brittney Elena assured Twitter users that Matt James apologized for his blunder.
