On Reddit, Duggar snarkers are discussing Jessa and Ben Seewald’s roots and where it all began. There is heavy speculation that Ben was first interested in Jessa because he wanted an opportunity to be on TV.
However, both of the family’s shows have now come to an end. One Duggar critic writes, “When they married I don’t think they expected the show to end. Ben was Jessas super fan/crush and Jessas wanted to get out, the only option to her was marriage.”
Another critic says, “She probably thought she was madly in love instead of just being infatuated with the idea of love, the way we all did when we got our first boyfriend/girlfriend as young teenagers.”
Someone else adds, “Yes — she was stunted and made a shortsighted choice.”
Other Duggar snarkers agree that Jessa and Ben’s decision to be together was shortsighted. In the Duggar family, relationships tend to move quickly from friendship to courtship to marriage. Now, it’s obvious that Ben’s life is about much more than simply being on the Duggars’ TLC shows. He’s now a father to four kids.
While a lot of this is speculation. Duggar critics seem to agree that Ben was too focused on getting with Jessa and his chance to be on TV that their relationship might have been rushed.
