Josh Duggar’s Sentencing Date Set
Josh Duggar’s sentencing has been scheduled. The former 19 Kids & Counting star was found guilty on two child pornography counts back in December. So, what should you know about his trial and his upcoming sentencing?
The eldest Duggar son was arrested by the federal government in April of 2021. He was later released on conditions and stayed with a family friend until his trial in November. His trial began in late November and ran through the beginning of December. By the end of the trial, the jurors determined he is unanimously guilty. He is guilty of both receiving and possessing child pornography.
Josh was immediately booked into the Washington County Detention Center. At the end of the trial, Judge Timothy L. Brooks noted that sentencing would come several months later. Josh’s legal team recently filed a motion for a new trial or an acquittal. The prosecution filed a response just a few days ago.
Now, Josh Duggar’s sentencing date has been set. So, when will we learn the fate of the former TLC star?

NWA Homepage reports that Josh Duggar’s sentencing date has been slated for April 5 at 9:30 a.m.
Josh is facing up to 20 years behind bars plus up to $250,000 in fines per count. But his sentence is only for the receipt crime. The possession crime is included in the receipt crime.
At this point, it’s unclear how much time Josh will be serving behind bars and how much money he will have to pay as a result of his crime. So, it looks like we will have to wait and see what Josh’s future looks like after he is sentenced in a couple of months.
Fans and critics alike have been hopeful that Anna Duggar, his wife, will protect herself and their seven children by getting a divorce. But her recent social media activity may show that she’s still supporting her husband. She recently surfaced online and shared with her followers that there is “more to the story,” while sharing the link to Josh’s request for a new trial. Fans are hopeful that her stance will change after Josh Duggar’s sentencing.
