Anna and Josh Duggar sell Arkansas dream home at massive loss

According to The Sun, Anna and Josh Duggar made a pretty big real estate deal a few months before his guilty verdict. Turns out, they sold their Arkansas dream home.

As those who have been following Josh Duggar’s trial know, he was found guilty on December 9th after his trial stretched out for nearly two weeks.

Anna Duggar listed their four-bedroom, four-bathroom dream home located in Springdale, Arkansas back in September of 2020. She listed it just one month after the car lot was raised. At the time, she listed it for $799,000. Another year passed before Anna finally sold the home on September 29, 2021. Anna ended up selling the home at a $350K loss for just $450K.

What were they going to do with this home?

Court transcripts obtained by The Sun from September 27, 2021, include Josh Duggar revealing the plans they had for their Arkansas dream home while talking to Homeland Security. Josh explained that he, his wife who was pregnant at the time, and their other children were living there. He explained that they were in the process of remodeling the home and had pretty big plans for it.

We’re in the process of remodeling. I got a big project up there. It’s 8,000 square feet. So we spend some time there, sometimes at my parents’ place as well. So we’re kind of split between the two, depending what we have going on there.”

Anna and Josh Duggar were not able to finish the remodel. She ended up listing the home and selling it a year after listing it.

Anna and Josh did lose money on original purchase price

While Anna did end up selling the home for way below what she originally wanted, she still sold it for more than she originally paid for it. Real estate records reveal Jim Bob Duggar purchased the home back in October of 2016 for $325,000. In June of 2019, Jim Bob sold it for a loss to an LLC in Anna’s name for $257,078. So, technically Anna Duggar made just shy of $200K in profit just based on what she paid for it and what she sold it for. This, however, is assuming they hadn’t put any money into rennovations before selling it.

Considering Josh also revealed his family was floating between this home and his parents. Fans can only assume Anna and all of her children with Josh are living on Jim Bob Duggar’s property at the moment.
