‘My 600-Lb. Life’ David Nelson 2022 Update: Where Is He Now?
Tonight’s episode of My 600-Lb. Life introduces viewers to David Nelson and leaves fans wondering if there is any 2022 update on him and where he is now with his weight loss journey. Is there an update on where he is now? Can you follow his weight loss journey on social media? Here’s everything we know.
Recap Of His Journey
David Nelson went full force the first couple of months of Dr. Now’s diet plan. He ended up losing about 75 pounds during his first attempt at the diet. David did so well that Dr. Now was instantly happy to approve him for his weight loss surgery. Dr. Now told him he would need to move to Texas. And, he would need someone to come with him for support. The TLC doctor also tells David he will need to lose another 30 pounds or he will cancel his surgery.
Things get a bit bumpy when he returns to Dr. Now for his surgery only to discover he’s gained weight and is back up over 700 pounds again. Dr. Now cancels his surgery noting it wouldn’t be safe or responsible of him as a doctor to continue with the surgery. The doctor needs David Nelson to prove he can stick to the diet and lose weight.
Dr. Paradise gets involved when Dr. Now finds himself baffled as to why David started out so well and then started to do so poorly. Dr. Paradise believed David is too co-dependent on his foster mother and needs to learn to live on his own. Viewers noticed David Nelson did do noticeably better with his weight loss and exercise when his mother was in the picture.
My 600-Lb. Life David Nelson 2022 Update: Where Is He Now?
It is no secret that David is an incredibly common first name. Nelson is also an incredibly common last name. There are tons of David Nelsons on Facebook. There are several that live in Houston, Texas and there are a handful that lives in Idaho too. Doing some deep diving, most of the profiles were ruled out as not being David Nelson from My 600-Lb. Life.
Unfortunately, this means he either doesn’t have a Facebook profile or he has it so locked down it is not easy to find. There also does not appear to be any other social media profiles for him either.
Presently, this means there really isn’t any 2022 update on where David Nelson is now with his weight loss progress. At best, all fans can really hope for now is a Where Are They Now? episode revealing if David continued to lose enough weight to get his surgery.

Yes I am looking forward to a season 4.
I was definitely drawn into Davids story. I’m pulling for him to get it together. Continue seeing his psychologist! He was getting somewhere. I spoke of him today in my salon. Told a person in the field about his breakthrough concerning his care for the others in foster care.
I was so hoping g for this story to continue. I’m not a huge fan. I happened upon the show and it was a new episode which is probably why I wanted to know more of Davids story.
Whatever happens I pray he has reached his goals. He is young and he is a caring man. He has so much ahead of him if he puts his all into this.
