Tammy Slaton Drops 100 Pounds, Dr. Smith Promises Surgery
Tammy Slaton of 1000-Lb. Sisters has dropped over 100 pounds and Dr. Smith has promised weight loss surgery is at the end of the tunnel for her. How did Tammy Slaton manage to lose so much weight? Chris Combs reveals Tammy Slaton dropped over 100 pounds
After escaping a near-death experience, Tammy Slaton managed to drop over 100 pounds during her first 30 days in rehab. According to Chris Combs, his sister has told him she’s lost 115 pounds in just 30 days. He can only imagine how much weight his sister stands to lose with her plans to stay in the rehab facility for at least eight months.
Getting emotional, Chris tells the cameras he will definitely miss his sister being gone for so long. He, however, would rather miss her for a year while she loses the weight than miss her for the rest of his life because she dies.
Did Dr. Smith promise Tammy surgery?
Happiness washes over Dr. Smith when Tammy calls him to say she’s ready to go to rehab. She tells Dr. Smith she’s ready to give up a year of her life to take this step to get better. Dr. Smith admits he’s thrilled she has decided to take this step on her own. They discuss weight loss surgery and she tells Dr. Smith she hopes to dip under 500 pounds before she leaves the facility.
Dr. Smith promises Tammy that if she’s able to dip under 500 pounds during her stay in rehab, he’ll make arrangements for her to come directly to him for surgery when she leaves the facility. Fans know Tammy Slaton was hospitalized during the month of November.
So, December would have been her first full month in rehab. January would be her second full month. So, if Tammy Slaton is still on track… It is possible she’s lost another 50 to 100 pounds since the Season 3 Finale was filmed. So, Tammy Slaton’s total weight loss could be more in the 150 to the 200-pound range at this point.
If Tammy Slaton stays on the successful path she’s on right now… Dr. Smith could grant her weight loss surgery before the year 2022 comes to an end.

She has only lost weight because she’s in a place where her food is being controlled. I thought the point was to get people to lose weight on their own to prove that they can do what it takes to continue to lose weight after the surgery?
I’m just happy shes getting the help she needs mentally , cause that will help her live a much better life.
