‘My 600-Lb. Life’ Fans Describe Margaret & Millie’s Dynamic As ‘Cringe’

My 600-Lb. Life airs a new episode featuring Margaret Johnson and her mother Millie. In Reddit, those with Discovery+ have already shared their thoughts on the episode. And, they seem to be fixated on the dynamic of Millie and Margaret. Many viewers admit the episode creeped them out and gave them some weird vibes. Some described the mother and daughter relationship as “cringe” and admit they had a difficult time watching it.

Dr. Paradise agrees with fans

At the request of Dr. Now, Dr. Paradise was featured in this episode. It didn’t take him long to realize something was not right regarding Margaret and Millie’s relationship. He reacted when Millie referred to Margaret as a “baby.” Dr. Paradise pointed out that baby wasn’t a good word to use because her daughter was 35-years-old and very much an adult.

On Redditfans pointed out that Margaret still seemed to have the mentality of a child. Some noted she appeared to be no older than five mentally. Viewers were disturbed by the way Millie spoke to her daughter. They likened it to the way a mother would talk to her toddler.

Now, some fans noted Millie abandoned her daughter with her abusive father when she finally decided to leave him. Fans speculate Millie babies her daughter in an attempt to overcompensate for abandoning her at one point in time in her life.

My 600-Lb. Life: Dr. Now comes for Millie

During this episode of My 600-Lb. Life, Dr. Now doesn’t pull punches when talking to Millie. He admits it is a bit disgraceful that someone who has had weight loss surgery would allow her daughter to eat her way to 750 pounds. Dr. Now is pretty quick to coin Millie as an enabler and tells her she needs to do better. If Margaret cannot get out of the bed, Millie is completely in charge of her food. And, she should be making better choices for her daughter because she loves her and doesn’t want her to die.

  1. This episode was so disturbing, the relationship was creepy. The mother kept saying, “We are doing this…we are doing that”, what is this we stuff? The poor kid is a mess, she gets so upset when she thinks something is not going her way. I think there is more to this mother and daughter than we were told.

  2. OMG this was the weirdest episode of 600 lbs. clearly Margaret is mentally slow and mentally disturbed. She needs more than Dr. Paradise. I’m thinking a Psychiatrist is needed. I think Millie likes having Margaret dependent on her.
