Is Andy Cohen having New Year’s Eve regrets? The Bravo producer is making headlines once again. He had a little too much to drink on the CNN live broadcast with Anderson Cooper. Yet, fans think he was doing more than just downing shots that night. Some even accused him of taking harder drugs.

Andy used a clever play on words to downplay the drug rumors. Now, more rumors are swirling about his rants on New Year’s Eve. Sources say CNN is “embarrassed” by what happened during the televised event. A video of his rant about former Mayor Bill de Blasio went viral on social media.

CNN will not invite Andy Cohen back

According to a new report, CNN has no plans to invite Andy back after his rant about the former NYC mayor went viral. The 53-year-old will not be invited back next year. Once again, Anderson Cooper will have to find a new friend to co-host with. Andy replaced Kathy Griffin, who is known for her controversial political rants.

“We claim to be the most trusted network in news and yet CNN hires Andy Cohen to make a fool out of all of us New year’s performance?” an insider told Radar. “Andy doesn’t even work for CNN and yet he has been the face of our network for the past 48 hours. It is embarrassing and real CNN staffers are very angry.”

During the televised event, the Bravo star did not hold back. Andy made it clear that he’s happy not to see Mayor De Blasio’s face ever again. That same night, the city swore in new Mayor Eric Adams. Andy used that moment as an opportunity to share his thoughts on the leaving mayor.

“Watching Mayor de Blasio do his ‘victory lap’ dance after four years of the crappiest job as the mayor of New York! The only thing that the Democrats and the Republicans can agree on is what a horrible mayor he has been, so sayonara, sucka!” Andy Cohen said during his rant. “2022! It’s a new year. ‘Cause guess what? I have a feeling I’m going to be standing right here next year, and you know what I’m not going to be looking at, dancing as the city comes apart? You!”

Bravo personality is having drunken regrets

Andy is still feeling the effects of that night. Sources say that CNN is looking for another co-host for this year’s New Year’s Eve event. The cable news network doesn’t want to “look like losers.” They also feel that Andy shouldn’t be voicing his opinion on politics.

As for Andy, he’s still having his share of regrets. He admitted that he’s not happy with all of the comments he made that night. He reflected on the moment when he shaded Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with host Ryan Seacrest.

“The only thing that I regret saying, the only thing is that I slammed the ABC broadcast and I really like Ryan Seacrest and he’s a great guy,” he said on his Andy Cohen Live Sirius XM show on Monday, January 3. “And I really regret saying that, and I was just stupid and drunk and feeling it.”
