Brock Davies Answers Questions Concerning Surprise Wedding
Brock Davies is opening up about his surprise wedding to Scheana Shay. As TV Shows Ace previously investigated, the couple talked about their plans to get married as quickly as possible. However, their wedding plans are currently on hold. Their surprise wedding plans were revealed in a recent episode of Vanderpump Rules.
On the Tuesday, December 28th episode, Brock and Scheana admitted that they wanted to get it over with. The pair has no interest in a big wedding. Both of them got married before. They just want to make the commitment. There’s been a lot of questions about the surprise wedding, including whether Brock can afford it and if it ever happened.
The couple got engaged in July 2021. Yet, they haven’t taken that next step. In a previous interview, they admitted that they wanted a destination wedding. That’s different from the plans they had on the Bravo show. Find out what Brock has to say about the storyline.
Brock Davies reveals what happened to their surprise wedding
The Aussie made an appearance on The Tap In W/Harry Jowsey podcast. He isn’t happy with the way things have been portrayed in Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules. The fitness trainer also shared what happened to their surprise wedding. He explained that their wedding plans were canceled because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“So my engagement slash wedding was going to cost me a fair amount,” Brock Davies said. “It got canceled because of COVID restrictions. We couldn’t get to the venue on the time and then they spun it. And it’s coming out this week it was spun out as if I couldn’t afford to do any of this.”
In the recent episode, Lala Kent suggested that Brock tried to foot his wedding bill onto her and then-fiance Randall Emmett. He blamed the producers for spinning a storyline in which Lala accused him of not being able to “afford to take care” of his family. On Pump Rules, Lala said Brock asked her and Randall to help him plan his wedding.
When it came to discussing financials, he went “radio silent” on them. Brock claims that Lala suggested he wanted to spend money on his fitness platform instead of his surprise wedding. He slammed his co-star, suggesting that she should’ve focused on her crumbling relationship instead. As fans know, Lala and Randall split in October 2021 after he was allegedly caught with two women in Nashville.
Questions surround Vanderpump Rules wedding
Still, there are questions surrounding Brock and Scheana’s wedding plans. Brock wanted an engagement party and wedding all in one. The problem is he wanted it done in two days. He didn’t realize the time and money it would take to have the event.
Fans have had different opinions on the surprise wedding on Reddit. Some think the couple came up with a fake storyline to put Brock in a positive light. Earlier on the season, he talked about his past with his ex and why he hasn’t seen his kids in years. Other fans noticed that his green card is about to expire, which is why the couple wanted to get married ASAP.
However, some viewers noted that Brock and Scheana already have a marriage license and prenuptial agreement in place. She also revealed that she had already gone wedding dress shopping. There are also some fans who accused Brock of using the show and producers to pay for their wedding.
Brock claims there was a “spin” on the storyline. Their surprise wedding wasn’t going to happen, either way. He had to cancel the venue due to COVID-19 concerns. Now, the couple is set on getting married in Bali. But they don’t have a wedding date since the virus isn’t winding down anytime soon.
