Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz Shut Down Split Rumors With NYE Photo

Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz were the center of recent split rumors. Vanderpump Rules fans had a feeling that they were the next to end their relationship. Schwartz and Katie are the only married couple on the show. Schwartz’s recent actions and being MIA from events had fans wondering if they were to divorce.

What hasn’t helped is his behavior on Pump Rules Season 9. Schwartz did not defend his wife against her feud with Tom Sandoval. Instead, he sided with his friend when it came to the name of their new bar, Schwartz & Sandy’s. He also didn’t back down when Sandoval took many swipes at Katie.

Vanderpump Rules fans speculate if the couple is done

As TV Shows Ace previously reported, fans wondered if Schwartz and Katie were the next to go their separate ways. Over the course of the past month, Schwartz skipped out on recent Bravo events with Katie. He was MIA from Watch What Happens Live. Katie and her fellow guests Scheana Shay and Brock Davies appeared virtually from their respective homes.

Host Andy Cohen explained that Schwartz couldn’t be there because he had a “family emergency” and “was with them tonight.” The couple missed a previous appearance on WWHL. They also filmed the Season 9 reunion from their home. Katie said she was sick that morning.

Neither Katie nor Schwartz have addressed the split rumors. But it hasn’t stopped fans from speculating whether their marriage was crumbling. In December 2021, Schwartz attended a paid club event in Atlantic City with Sandoval and DJ James Kennedy. Fans said it resembled more of “a bender,” since he dipped out on his friends.

James admitted that he couldn’t find Schwartz all night. The sober reality star had to focus on his job, which is to provide music for the club. Even Sandoval didn’t know where his BFF was for most of the night. Thankfully, James found Schwartz safe and sound after he went missing for hours.

On Saturday, January 1, 2022, Katie kicked off the new year with a new photo of herself and her husband on New Year’s Eve. It’s rare for the two to pose together on social media. But in order to shut down the split rumors, Katie posed with Schwartz by her side. The Bravo star wore a black fringed sweater, which she paired with a silver knee-length skirt.

Meanwhile, Schwartz wore a tan coat with a T-shirt and jeans. He finished off his look with a trucker’s cap and slip-on sneakers. Katie rocked a black beret and black ankle boots.

“Goodbye 2021. You brought some pretty amazing things into my life,” Katie Maloney captioned her post. “Some amazing new little lives, who I loves so dearly. Some really difficult moments and triumphs! Feeling really hopeful. Love you all!”

The comment section was a mess. Fans wondered if Katie was announcing baby news. She was talking about the Vanderpump Rules baby boom, which included new moms Stassi Schroeder, Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, and Brittany Cartwright. This looks like Katie’s way of putting the split rumors to rest.
