Erin Krakow: ‘When Calls The Heart’ Season 9 Is Steamier

Erin Krakow recently spoke to Palm Beach Illustrated about the roots of her acting career, and about WCTH Season 9.
Surely, Hearties most want to know what will happen in the upcoming season. Lucabeth fans will be thrilled to learn that “We will have more romance and steamy scenes in Season 9.”
As for her character, she enjoys portraying school teacher Elizabeth Thornton, who is now also a writer.
My role as Elizabeth keeps me challenged as she delves into fresh adventures.
When Did When Calls The Heart Star Start Acting?
Erin Krakow grew up in Wellington Florida. This is a village just west of Palm Beach. There, she, along with her younger brother, watched Saturday Night Live at home. The two competed for their family’s attention.
She attended Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach. There, she took dance and learned all the nuts and bolts of acting. She shared how her experience shaped her role as an actress now.
Dreyfoos set me on the path for professional acting. It was a great foundation with a wonderful staff. I learned dance steps, Shakespeare, costume design, lighting, and sets. I loved every minute of it.
Dreyfoos set up Erin with the foundation that prepared her for the very prestigious Juilliard School, where fellow Hallmark star Luke Macfarlane also attended.
There, she got her BFA and performed a lot of classical theatre including such classics as Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Black Russian. She has also portrayed Cecily in a production of Oscar Wilde’s infamous play, The Importance Of Being Earnest, and as Shelby in Steel Magnolias.
She admits that “I love and cherish theater,” and hopes to do more of it, she made a transition to television, which “requires another skill set.”

Erin Krakow Talks About Her Relationship With Hallmark
Before Erin Krakow started acting in When Calls The Heart and in Hallmark movies, she was on Guiding Light, Castle, and even Lifetime’s Army Wives. However, her relationship with the Hallmark Channel is special. “Hallmark is the longest professional relationship I have had and feels like home with a supportive family.”
Krakow especially likes the content that Hallmark puts out. “The feel-good TV and heartwarming stories are like eating my favorite ice cream and cake.”
How Does Erin Spend Her Off-Screen Time?
Although Erin Krakow admits that “I am not sporty, but I like to hike and enjoy the scenery,” she also keeps active by salsa dancing.
She also enjoys reading, baking, and taking photos. Although she did not share her lot of GIFs, fans know she is pretty fun on social media.
When Calls The Heart Season 9 premieres on Hallmark sometime in early 2022.
