My 600-Lb. Life Spoilers: Lucas Higdon lives in a shed
Lucas Higdon is the name of a 33-year-old in Conroe, Texas. He reveals that he lives in a storage shed on his family’s compound. Initially, he has no idea how much he weighs — he later learns he weighs 619 pounds. Lucas tells the camera he isn’t so overweight that he’s incapable of getting around. But, his weight does put a serious strain on his body. Moreover, there are a lot of things he just can’t do because of his size.
Because of his weight, he was forced to quit his job. Unable to support himself because of his size, he moved into a storage shed on his family’s compound. He admits his parents built an outdoor shower for him. But, he was too big to use it. So, he has to walk across the compound to his sister’s house to use her shower.
Trying to help her brother, his sister Maegen did hire him as a homeschool teacher and babysitter. She loved the bond it allowed him to grow with her children. And, it helped her out too. Dr. Now, however, argued his situation was almost too convenient for the family. So, he suspected they weren’t doing much to try to change it.
Can’t grocery shop alone
Lucas Higdon is able to go to the grocery store and walk around. He explains to the camera leaning on the cart while he walks around the store really helps the process. Lucas, however, reveals he has not been able to go grocery shopping by himself in four to five years. Because of his size, he has to sit in the backseat of vehicles. So, he isn’t able to drive himself anywhere.
Does Lucas Higdon get his surgery?
Tonight’s episode of My 600-Lb. Life is a pretty happy and inspiring one. Lucas does get approved for surgery and gets the surgery before the episode comes to an end. By the end of the episode, Lucas was able to lose over 200 pounds. According to Dr. Now, Lucas has a little over 200 pounds left to lose by the time the episode comes to an end.
Thanks to his updated Facebook profile picture, fans of the TLC series assume he’s still on the right track as his face looks much slimmer in the photo!

That is such a horrible thing to splash online. Lucas has a loving family and strong support. He sleeps there but during the day he is at his sister’s house. He homeschooled her kids and was active. He is so handsome and he did an amazing job following Dr Now’s program. He is a determined and will succeed in all he wants to accomplish! congratulations Lucas!

Always great to see people take control of their lives and move forward positively! Hes done an amazing job and prayerfully will reach his goals.
By losing 200 lbs, Lucas is working hard to get healthy. Covid has made things more difficult; I Don’t go to the gym anymore. However, I walk in my apartment. I mostly, buy healthy foods, that way I have to stick to my diet. No more fast food, ‘limited soda. Lucas is doing great. I wish him much success in his weight loss goal.
People who are over weigh should never lose their dignity. God gives you strength daily to do what needs to be done all you have to do is do it. I understand a person of weight has problems and issues, but it is nothing to be advertised as if calling for sympathy. Try to have sympathy with yourself if anything and lose the weight at least some of it then the sympathetic part of your journey leaves you and you will go forth in a better spirit, your body is your church worship it
