Netflix is launching an 11-day comedy festival in Los Angeles in 2022, titled appropriately Netflix is a Joke. The streaming channel has recently released the lineup for the upcoming festival, running from April 28 to May 8, 2022. Meanwhile, the various events will be held at various places in and around Los Angeles.
For international audiences, select shows will be recorded for later viewing on Netflix. Also, highlights of the shows will be made available on Netflix is a Joke‘s SiriusXM channel. The streamer will also make highlights available on their social media platforms.

Netflix and Live Nation team up with comedy
Netflix has teamed up with Live Nation to produce the comedy festival, which they previously announced in 2020. Regrettably, the COVID-1 pandemic caused the Netflix is a Joke event to be delayed until 2022.
Robbie Praw, Director, Stand-up and Comedy Formats for Netflix, spoke about the event. He said it is “absolutely thrilling” for the streamer to host a comedy festival of this magnitude in Los Angeles. Praw added how disappointed they were to postpone the comedy event last spring. However, he did say that their lineup of comedians cannot wait to bring much-needed laughs to audiences in LA. Of course, it will also bring chuckles to people around the world via Netflix.
Praw said that the Netflix is a Joke Festival will give comedy fans the opportunity to see the greats. However, it will also let them discover new voices in one of the greatest cities in the world.
