Produced by Adam Glass (Supernatural, The Chi), In From the Cold is a Netflix Original spy thriller series. The new spy series is directed by Ami Canaan Mann and Birgitte Stærmose. Meanwhile, the new series was first announced by the streamer in January 2020.

According to the Netflix synopsis, an American single mom’s life flips upside down during a European vacation with her daughter. This is when the CIA forces her to confront her long-buried past as a Russian spy. Moreover, the woman was also the product of a highly classified KGB experiment, granting her special abilities.

A mysterious string of manic and murderous incidents suggests someone with her exact abilities is targeting innocent people. Due to this, Jenny has to come out of hiding to stop this villain or risk losing the family and new life she has built.

Among the cast for the Netflix Original series is Margarita Levieva (Adventureland, The Lincoln Lawyer) and Cillian O’Sullivan. Levieva plays protagonist Jenny Franklin, while O’Sullivan plays Chauncey. Meanwhile, the latter actor is known for his appearances in Vikings, Maze and The Blacklist. Also of interest is Charles Brice (The Punisher, Homeland, Watchmen) who plays the role of Chris, while TV newcomer Lydia Fleming plays Becca.

Production status of Netflix Original series In From the Cold

What’s on Netflix reports that filming of the new series took place in Madrid, Spain and the series went into post-production after May 27, 2021. So far, Netflix has not yet released a trailer for the new series.

However, Netflix has confirmed that In From the Cold will premiere on Friday, January 28, 2022, with all eight episodes available to stream.
