Netflix Limited Series ‘A Man In Full’ By Regina King: What We Know

Hollywood creators David E. Kelley and Regina King are teaming up with Netflix for a new limited series, A Man in Full. The series will be an adaptation of Tom Wolfe’s 1998 novel of the same name. Read on to find out what we know so far about this exciting project.

After recently starring in a Netflix film The Harder They Fall, Oscar-winner Regina King is involved in a new project. She will be in the directing seat for the new limited series A Man in Full. Meanwhile, this isn’t King’s first directing job. In fact, she is known for directing This is Us, Shameless, Animal Kingdom, The Good Doctor and more. Also, Regina’s Royal Ties production company is producing the series along with Matthew Tinker.

Meanwhile, David E. Kelley is an 11-time Emmy winner who will serve as showrunner, writer and producer for A Man in Full. Kelley is known for projects like Boston Legal, L.A. Law and Big Little Lies. Meanwhile, he is also involved in the upco0ming Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer, as well as Anatomy of a Scandal.

Synopsis of A Man in Full

The new limited series is an adaptation of Tom Wolfe’s 1998 bestselling novel, A Man in Full. According to Amazon, the story is set in Atlanta, Georgia, a racially mixed, late-century boomtown full of fresh wealth and wily politicians.

The main protagonist is Charles Croker, a former college football star turned late-middle-aged Atlanta conglomerate king. However, his outsized ego finally gets hit by reality. Croker owns a 29,000-acre quail-shooting plantation. He also has a young, demanding second wife, as well as a half-empty office complex loaded with debt.

Meanwhile, Conrad Hensley, a young father of two, is laid off from his job at the Croker Global Foods warehouse near Oakland. Hensley finds himself spiraling into the lower depths of the American legal system.

However, back in Atlanta, we meet Fareek “the Canon” Fannon, a star Georgia running back and homegrown product of the city’s slums. Meanwhile, Fareek stands accused of date-raping the daughter of a pillar of the white establishment. Upscale black lawyer Roger White II is asked to represent Fanon and to help keep Atlanta’s delicate racial balance from blowing sky-high.

Cast and release date of the Netflix limited series

As Netflix is yet to set a date for production to start on A Man in Full, the project is still in its early stages. In fact, the limited series is currently in the stage of development and scriptwriting. Also, no cast members have yet been announced for the Netflix limited series.

However, it is known that the limited series A Man in Full will run over six, hour-long episodes. As for the release date, if the Netflix series gets a 2022 production start, it will likely drop on the streamer at some stage in 2023.
