Bachelor Nation was stunned when Katie Thurston confirmed suspicions that she is in a romantic relationship with John Hersey. The news comes less than a month after she and Blake Moynes went public with their split. They announced the end of their engagement on October 25. US Weekly shared what a source revealed in regards to how Blake Moynes reacted to the shocking news. It turns out that the source claims Blake was also stunned by the news. They said, “Blake is blindsided by the news.” So far other than unfollowing Katie on Instagram, Blake has not commented on her new relationship with John.
Not long ago Katie was even speaking publicly about how Blake trusted her hanging out with John while he was in Canada or Africa. Many fans are speculating that perhaps Blake shouldn’t have trusted her so much.
The breakup has appeared to be very difficult for Blake. In fact, at one point he commented on Instagram, “When times are really tough and things just aren’t going the way you had hoped … it’s always the same ‘gang’ that gets ya back on your feet.” He continued, “Feels good to start getting back into the swing of things. But, as much as I do lean on my human / furr fam at times like this, I really do have to acknowledge you all, my newfound social family for all the love, support, encouragement and even patience over the past week. Emily Moynes does not appear happy her son’s heart is broken either. In fact, she liked a few comments on posts that lead fans to believe that perhaps Katie deceived Blake.

Nobody knows exactly how long Katie and John have been together. However, a source shared with E!News that the past four weeks have been life-changing for them. They said, “Katie and John were mutually in the friend zone for months.” They continued, “A lot has changed in the last four weeks. And it’s been wild but exciting for those closest to them to witness.”
They went on to say Katie has never been happier.
She announced their new love by sharing John as the last man of her 12 days of messy tribute to Taylor Swift. So far John has not commented on their relationship.
Recall, Katie sent John home in week two of her season of The Bachelorette. Apparently now she feels she made a mistake. The video she shared also went back in time to his limo exit and their first meeting. She shared at that moment that she thought John was her type.
