The new Netflix Original movie stars Ed Skrein (Deadpool, Alita: Battle Angel and Game of Thrones) in the lead. He will appear together with a musician and new addition to acting, Leo Long. Meanwhile, the movie is based on a 2015 short film of the same name written and directed by Eddie Sternberg. The Netflix movie was first announced by ScreenDaily on October 28. Meanwhile, the movie was commissioned for Netflix by Fiona Lamptey, who previously commissioned I Came By and The Wonder. Together with Lampty, the movie will be produced by Forty Foot Pictures that was previously involved in Joseph’s Reel, Earthy Encounters and Coil.

Meanwhile, neurodiverse folk musician Leo Long will star as Stevie, the drummer. Long has succeeded in overcoming many challenges in the music scene and is now trying out acting for the first time.

Where does production stand on the Netflix Original movie?
Televisual reports that filming of the Netflix movie I Used to Be Famous kicked off on October 28, 2021. While the streaming channel is yet to announce a release date for the movie, given the start of filming, it will likely drop in the second half of 2022.
