Netflix ‘Legacies’ Season 4: Release Date, Trailer, What We Know So Far

Legacies returns for Season 4 on Netflix

Season 4 of the popular series Legacies premieres on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Fans will get to see the ongoing adventures of Hope, Milton and Lizzie. The spinoff to The Originals, which in turn was a spinoff to The Vampire Diaries, will also be aired on Netflix. However, fans no doubt want to know when they can binge on their favorite series. Read on to find more details and a teaser trailer for Legacies.

Season 4 of Legacies on The CW

The series Legacies comes to Netflix as part of a legacy contract with The CW. The show first aired in 2018, as a spinoff to The Originals, after that series was a spinoff to The Vampire Diaries. Both those original shows are still available on the streaming channel.

So far, Season 4 premieres on The CW today, Friday, October 14, after the third season was delayed until January 2021 due to filming problems. So far, it is believed the new season will have 16 episodes, as did the first three seasons.

The cast for the fourth season of Legacies includes Danielle Rose Russell, Kaylee Bryant, Aria Shahghasemi and Jenny Boyd.

When and how can you watch the series?

First of all, it must be borne in mind that Season 3 of Legacies has not yet arrived on Netflix. Decider reports that the season is still scheduled to arrive, under the legacy contract with The CW. Obviously, this could mean a major delay for Season 4 of the exciting show. On top of this, so far there has been no announcement as to whether Legacies will be renewed for a fifth season.

However, if any fans are impatient to catch up with their favorite Legacies characters, there are a couple of ways you can watch. One way is to tune into The CW every Thursday night to catch the latest episodes. However, you can also watch episodes on Fridays using The CW app for free. In addition, you can watch episodes the next day via The CW app for free.

Likely air date for Season 4 of Legacies on Netflix

While Netflix’s contract with The CW ended in 2019, it does still cover Legacies. This means that the new season arrives on the streaming channel soon after the season wraps. As per What’s On Netflix, this normally means the season will drop on Netflix around 8 to 9 days after the season finale. However, this didn’t happen with Season 3, but hopefully, things should go back to normal in 2022.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Legacies had the same release schedule as the new Season 4. They both wrapped in March on The CW and arrived on Netflix during early April. If we get really lucky, Season 3 will arrive in April 2022. As for the fourth season, it is currently unknown. However, in a perfect world, we could binge both Season 3 and 4 together. Whether that could happen, we honestly don’t know.
