What Did Matt Roloff Do During Amy & Chris Marek’s Wedding?

Over the weekend, Little People Big World star Amy Roloff tied the knot with her new husband, Chris Marek.  It was a beautiful ceremony, held on the Roloff family’s property. However, what did Matt Roloff, Amy’s ex-husband do during the ceremony? Was he there at the event?

While most of the Roloff family was busy attending Amy and Chris Marek’s wedding, Matt Roloff had different plans. On Sunday, August 29, Matt took to Instagram to share a video of his peaceful day. It turns out he and girlfriend Caryn Chandler had a beautiful weekend getaway, while Amy tied the knot.

Matt, 59, captioned the video, “Dropped the keys to the farm in Chris’s hands last night.” He wrote that after a short, 90-minute drive, they started having an “up close and personal wildlife adventure” on the Oregon coast.

Matt explained that he and Caryn were staying with friends in their newly constructed home. He added that in the video, Keith and Robin are introducing them to their neighborhood friends. Caryn, 53, was quick to comment on the post, congratulating the newlyweds with a heart emoji. She wrote, “And the elk were a fun bonus on our coast getaway.”

Amy Roloff and Chris Marek tie the knot

Matt and Caryn’s coastal getaway happened on the same weekend that Amy, 56, and Chris, 55, were married at Roloff Farms. On Saturday, Amy’s daughter-in-law, Tori Roloff shared images from the wedding. In her caption, she congratulated “Mimi and Chris.” One image showed the blushing bride wearing a lacy gown with a diamond accessory in her hair.

Amy and Matt Roloff were married for 27 years before filing for divorce in June 2015. The former couple share twins, Zach and Jeremy, 31, Jacob, 24, and daughter Molly, 27. Amy met Marek in 2016 and three years later, they were engaged.

At the time, Amy told Us Weekly that she was excited, surprised and thrilled. She never in a million years thought she would get married again, but she did also hope for it. Now it was happening, she couldn’t be happier or more excited.

As for Chris, he did admit to being very nervous about popping the question. He said it had to be a heart-shaped diamond because he knew that was what Amy wanted.

Matt enjoys spending time with Caryn

For his part, Matt is enjoying spending time with his girlfriend, Caryn in what he dubbed a “whole new major chapter in life.” In a confessional during an August episode of Little People Big World, he said they have the best of all worlds happening right now. During the same episode, Caryn, a former farm employee, explained how they approach their relationship.

Caryn said their grand plan right now is to “stay committed, stay in love, go to Arizona” while spending a tremendous amount of time together. Part of that was spending time with their friends, Keith and Robin in their new home on the Oregon coast.
