Netflix Anime: ‘Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild’ Release Date, Trailer
It has been three years since Netflix announced the development of the anime TV movie Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild. Finally, the good news is out for anime fans as a trailer has dropped along with a release date. Read on to find out more about the anime movie, including the plot, trailer, cast and when it drops on the streaming channel.
Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild on Netflix
The upcoming Netflix Original anime movie is based on the Capcom video game franchise, Monster Hunter. Capcom and Pure Imagination Studios worked together in collaboration for the animation of the movie. In fact, this is the third such collaboration between Netflix and Capcom. Anime fans will remember that Netflix previously released Dragon’s Dogma and Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness under their Original banner.
News of the project first came out in 2018, with the anime film scheduled to premiere in 2019. However, it is not clear why it has taken two more years for Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild to land on Netflix. Possibly the COVID-19 pandemic has been part of the problem, but we don’t know for sure.
Netflix has now released a trailer for the upcoming anime TV movie, along with the official release date. Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild will drop on the streaming channel on August 12, 2021. Moreover, the anime movie will be available on Netflix worldwide.
What is the plot of the anime TV movie?
Running for 58 minutes, Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild tells the story of a young monster hunter named Aiden. His job is to protect his village from the migrating monsters that threaten its very existence.
When one of the elder dragons threatens both nature and the community, Aiden joins up with an elite team of veteran hunters to help save his home. They need weapons, teamwork and more to be successful in their battle against the ancient dragon.
