’90 Day Fiance’ Stars Stephanie And Ryan Split Before Filming The TLC Show
90 Day Fiance fans are gradually becoming aware of how heavily edited the so-called reality TV show truly is. Season 8 star Stephanie Davison has revealed the truth of her and Ryan Carr’s relationship. The fact is, she and Ryan Carr were already apart before the filming of Season 8 even began. She opened up in an interview about the true reality of reality TV.
90 Day Fiance star Stephanie Davison and Ryan Carr
From the start of Season 8, 90 Day Fiance fans knew that Stephanie Davison and Ryan Carr wouldn’t work out. However, they had no idea of what has truly happened. Stephanie, 52, met Ryan, 27 while spending 10 months in Belize. On the show, the self-dubbed “cougar” accused her sugar baby of assault. However, it turns out their relationship had ended long before filming even started. In fact, she broke up with the Belize native while in Michigan in August, but TLC producers wouldn’t take no for an answer and continued filming.
In the latest episode, viewers saw Ryan packing his bags and running away. Stephanie explained that she and Ryan became intimate after a couple of drinks. When she asked him to wear a glow-in-the-dark condom she had bought for him, he sneakily did not. Stephanie had admitted they had not used protection in the past, but this time she didn’t trust him due to their 10 months apart. While their breakup was among the most controversial in 90 Day Fiance history, she had truly quit her relationship with Ryan in August.
TLC continued filming after the breakup
On the show, Stephanie in January claimed that Ryan had sexually assaulted her. On top of this, she also alleged TLC continued filming even after this. Another incident involved her being bitten by sand flies in Belize, which led to her hospitalization.
In an interview with YouTuber, TheCelebTalkGuy, Stephanie revealed that she had broken up with Ryan prior to her filmed trip to Belize in October. She said she told TLC producers “in mid-August” that she and Ryan had broken up. She gave the reason for their breakup was that “something had changed with this coronavirus.” There was also the fact that Ryan had no money and no means to provide for his family.
When Stephanie told the producers that she couldn’t take it anymore, they told her “no, you’re not done.” The TLC producers said they had put a lot of money into this. They went on to guarantee to Stephanie that she was heading “to something huge.”
Even worse, even though she had said no, 12 members of the 90 Day Fiance crew headed to Grand Rapids. They hung around for three days until she changed her mind and agreed to film.
‘Big selling point’ for TLC
So now we know Stephanie and Ryan were not even a couple when the alleged rape and stealthing incident happened in Belize. The interview said perhaps the “big selling point” for TLC was to have Stephanie come on the show and become famous.
Davison pointed out that TLC wasn’t paying them a lot of money. Was it worth starring on 90 Day Fiance despite the fact they had split? See the full interview in the YouTube video included below.
Season 8 of 90 Day Fiance airs on TLC, Sundays at 8 pm ET.
