90 Day Fiance stars Ariela and Biniyam worried about their baby
Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre have finally found somewhere acceptable to live. The new apartment isn’t the best, but it does have a kitchen and bathroom. Ariela has been attending prenatal checkups and on her previous visit, the baby was in a breech position. Now, at 39 weeks, a week away from the due date, their baby still hasn’t turned.

During Sunday’s episode, Ariela is having another scan, only to find her and Biniyam’s baby is still in the breech position. The technician says the child is healthy and his heartbeat is good. Ariela asks if many women go through breech births in Ethiopia and many do. However, such deliveries can be dangerous and lead to complications. The baby can become stuck in the birth canal. If this happens, the oxygen supply can be cut off by the constricted umbilical cord.
However, there is too little amniotic fluid for the baby to turn. The ultrasound technician tells Ariela her obstetrician will be the one to decide what is best for her baby. He does mention that is it not a common thing for babies to be delivered in Ethiopia via the Cesarian section. This worries Ariela no end. She tells the cameras, “I’m really nervous about having the baby in general. It’s my first baby, and I’m in a foreign country, and I definitely don’t wanna have a C-section.”
Ariela must give birth via Cesarian section
The only solution in Ariela’s case is to deliver the baby through the Cesarian section. Her obstetrician says this is the only way to avoid any more risk to the baby. Also, the Cesarian section must happen that day. No doubt the TLC reality star is wishing her mother was still with her, but she recently returned to the States. Janice is a nurse and could have been with her during a difficult time.
90 Day Fiance fans saw that Ariela had successfully given birth to her baby in the midseason trailer. However, they also know more difficulties are to come, especially relating to Biniyam’s family. Remember, in the trailer, his sisters were warning Ariela that her baby would go to hell without baptism.
Keep up with Ariela and Biniyam’s story on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way on Sundays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
