Katy Perry Uses Breast Pump To Encourage People To Get ‘Pumped To Vote’
As the polls heat up, some celebs are starring in videos to encourage viewers to Exercise That Vote. In a new Jane Fonda Workout Video, Katy Perry shows her sheer strength. She does this by using a breast pump to encourage her fans to get “Pumped to Vote.”
Katy Perry getting ‘Pumped to Vote’
The 80s-style montage video stars a number of celebrities, including, of course, the amazing Jane Fonda. Other stars include Katy Perry, her fiancé Orlando Bloom and Amy Schumer. Then there’s Kerry Washington, Vanessa Hudgens, Shaquille O’Neal, Ashley Benson and Ken Jeong. During the almost two-minute clip, they are all seen doing their best to work up a sweat while exercising their right to vote.
When it gets to Katy Perry, 35, she reveals her “mom superpower,” exercising while pumping breast milk. She writes a funny caption to the video, posted on Instagram. In it, she jokes, “Whoever said pumping isn’t a sport … I’d like to twist their nipples clockwise for one week straight.” All us moms hear you, Katy!
We can watch Orlando lifting weights at the gym, while Katy nibbles on her protein bar while gazing in a mirror. However, she makes up for that later in the clip. This is when Perry can be seen using her breast pump while gazing over her shoulder and telling everyone watching to “get pumped to vote.” The video closes with Katy directly addressing Schumer. She jokes, “Amy … does your kid have teeth?” That is definitely a good reason for pumping breast milk!
Katy, Orlando and exercising that vote
While encouraging her fans to “get pumped to vote” in her caption to the post, she admits that she and Orlando “have different views on what it means to get pumped these days.” Yeah, sure, Bloom is impressive hitting those weights. However, Katy reckons her workout with the breast pump to feed their five-week-old daughter is harder than it looks.

The Roar singer goes on to write that they are getting in shape for the race of their lives this coming November. She stresses that it has never been more important to #ExerciseThatVote. Katy then urges viewers to head to the link in her bio to check their registration status. She mentioned that many state registration deadlines were happening that day. Katy and baby Daisy Dove
Katy and Orlando welcomed their daughter Daisy during late August and she hasn’t held back about the realities of new motherhood. Soon after giving birth, Katy posted an image of herself, clad in a Medela breast pump bra, along with Frida Mom postpartum underwear. She promoted the two brands’ Instagram pages, before hilariously captioning the shot, “Hair n makeup by: @exhaustion.”
Late in September, Katy headed to Twitter to write that it is a “misconception” that being a mother isn’t a fulltime job.

In a follow-up tweet, she wrote, “Part 2: when a mom finally goes back to work (whatever profession they do) it’s not like they been coming from months of ‘time off …’ she’s coming from a full time job … of being a mom, lol.”

As noted by People, she wasn’t finished there. She continued, “Part 3: call your mom and tell her you love and appreciate her and advocate for paid family leave!”

Her final message was, “Part 4. I love my job.” This fact is obvious from the touching image below.
