Erika Owens of 90 Day Fiance

Starring on reality TV isn’t exactly the easiest thing to do. Constantly looking good while being hammered by hate on social media is very hard to do. Some cast members on 90 Day Fiance have brought up their battle with body dysmorphia. This includes Larissa Lima. While Larissa has had plastic surgery to fix her “faults,” her fellow star, Erika Owens takes a different approach. She is urging her fans to celebrate how “f***ing beautiful they are.”

Fans will remember Erika for her appearance with Stephanie Matto on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. The couple made history as being the first same-sex couple to appear on the TLC reality show.

The Australian photographer drew a strong fan following due to her nature, her multi-colored hair and outrageous outfits. While her relationship with Stephanie didn’t work out, she has now found love with a fellow photographer, Chris Siclari.

Body dysmorphia triggers

Speaking of body dysmorphia,  Erika opened up about her battle with the condition. In her newest post on Thursday, she urged fans to celebrate just how “f***king beautiful they are.” The Instagram post came at a time when Owens had suffered a body dysmorphia trigger.

Speaking of her own self-worth, Erika says this is not defined by her weight. She defines it by her “caring nature, talent, creativity, uniqueness and soul.” Erika says she is “generally very confident and relatively positive.” However, a trigger into “old negative habits and intense body dysmorphia can truly feel like the end of the world” for her. Owen believes her “value isn’t measured by f***ing kilograms.

Speaking of attacks on social media, Owens wrote that she is still a “babe.” She won’t allow some “anonymous coward (or 15 a**holes every week)” to attack her in her DMs. Erika won’t let them take away all the hard work she has put into her physical and mental health.

Erika wrote, “Here’s to celebrating ourselves ladies, men and non-binary folx – never forget how f***ing beautiful you are. And if you ever do, let me know so I can remind you.”

Fine words indeed from 90 Day Fiance star Erika Owens!
