’90 Day Fiance’ Star Deavan’s Mom Threatens To ‘Kill’ Jihoon Over Scary Drascilla Incident
90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star Jihoon has lost whatever brownie points he had with his mother-in-law and Deavan’s mom, Elicia. It has been hard enough all along, but after a scary incident, where three-year-old Drascilla ran out into the street, things got worse.
90 Day Fiance star Elicia claps back at Jihoon
In the previous episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Jihoon was finally getting there with Elicia. This is after he promised to act more responsibly around his wife, Deavan and their family. She and Jihoon share one-year-old Taeyang, while Deavan has a three-year-old daughter, Drascilla from a previous relationship.
The couple’s finances have been a disaster since Deavan arrived in Seoul with the children. This was after Jihoon lied about his job and his finances. However, since then, Jihoon has promised to do better and be more responsible for his family. Jihoon’s parents and Deavan’s mom Elicia, agree to back off from interfering in their relationship.
If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. The detente between Deavan’s family and Jihoon was crashed after Drascilla suddenly ran off towards the street. Jihoon was responsible for watching her and Deavan yelled, telling him to run after Drascilla. Before bothering to do so, Jihoon turns around and tells Deavan to stop yelling at him. The 90 Day Fiance star does eventually run to get Drascilla, but not before Elicia gets there first.
Elicia and Deavan explode
Both Deavan and her mom, Elicia are enraged over the incident. Both noted that Jihoon seemed more concerned about Deavan yelling at him than at the fact that Drascilla was in danger. Of course, Jihoon is always stressed by the way Deavan treats him. Despite this, the South Korean tells the cameras that even though he isn’t Drascilla’s biological dad, he loves her and treats her like she was his own child.
The incident led to Jihoon apologizing to Deavan once more. He breaks down and cries, but Deavan feels no sympathy for him. This is especially so when Jihoon asks if she ever considers how he is feeling.
In her confessional, Deavan says nothing is Jihoon’s fault. He always thinks it is everyone else’s fault. Deavan has no sympathy for him when he cries. On top of that, Deavan asks Jihoon if he would like to be a single man again. She tells him his actions have shown her he doesn’t want a family life. The TLC reality star tells Jihoon if he wants his freedom, he can have it.
90 Day Fiance star Jihoon makes promises again
Jihoon tells Deavan how important she is to him and promises to be a better father. However, in the meantime, his mom sticks her nose in after seeing her son crying. Jihoon begs her to not interfere. Not deterred, his mom tells the TLC cameras she is worried his marriage to Deavan will continue to “belittle” her son.
When Jihoon tries to apologize to Elicia, she is having none of it. She tells him she doesn’t accept his apology. In fact, his continuous apologies aren’t cutting it with her anymore. She bluntly tells him how his “so sorry” would feel while she scrapes Drascilla off the street. Elicia goes on to tell Jihoon he had promised to look after her. Then five minutes later he lets Drascilla run towards the street.

Elicia turns the story, asking Jihoon how he would feel if it was Taeyang running into the street and he yelled at her to get Taeyang. If she turns around and tells Jihoon not to yell at her as his son runs towards cars, how would he feel? Elicia says she doesn’t accept his apology and that words mean nothing, but “Actions mean everything.”
As noted by ET, Deavan’s mom continues to berate Jihoon for not protecting his family. She says it is her daughter’s decision as to whether she stays with him. However, she says if Jihoon kills her granddaughter, she will kill him
In his confessional, Jihoon explains that originally he had a good relationship with his mother-in-law, but now, him and Elicia “very danger.” “Very danger” indeed if he cannot protect Deavan’s daughter and his family.
