’90 Day Fiance’ Star Debbie Throws Colt Under The Bus With Jess About Vanessa

The latest episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? is titled Burnt Bridges and Bitter Truths. This title definitely applies to Colt Johnson and Jess Caroline! Sunday’s episode saw Debbie Johnson deliberately throw her son under the bus while being smug after she did it, too. Can Colt and Jess’s relationship survive this latest attack?

90 Day Fiancé star Debbie’s direct attack

As fans know, Jess Caroline is jealous and suspicious of Colt’s “friend” Vanessa Guerra. Colt told her Vanessa means nothing to him and that she shouldn’t worry. However, while in Brazil, Debbie manages to totally stir the pot and upset Jess enough for her to leave.

The scene is a hotel room in Brazil, where Debbie sits on the bed, checking out her phone. She turns to Colt to let him know she had texted Vanessa. According to Debbie, Vanessa said, “the cats are doing really good.” She goes on to tell her son that his friend had sent a video of Izzy, asking if he wants to see? Jess looks shocked and says, “What? What?” This is the moment Colt turns to Jess and tells her Vanessa is watching the cats while he is gone.

It is pretty easy to see that Debbie knew exactly what she was doing. Jess storms off and manages to get ahold of Vanessa’s contact info. The pair have a brief text exchange and Jess returns to the room. The 90 Day Fiance star starts throwing her heels at Colt in sheer anger. It seems like Vanessa might have mentioned that she and Colt are in regular contact, something Jess doesn’t want to hear.

In her confessional, Debbie is asked if she knew Jess had an issue with Vanessa. Colt’s mom then pulls a mischievous face. Of course, she knew!

Jess leaves Colt and Debbie

Jess has had enough and packs her bags, telling Colt she was going to her ex-boyfriend’s house. She even says she will sleep with him. Colt follows Jess downstairs, trying to get her to change her mind. He even tells her he was going to propose to her. This is all to no avail, as Jess’s ride takes her away. Colt tells the camera he wasn’t expecting this to be his final night in Brazil. He ineffectually says he didn’t know where he and Jess stood after this.

It was pretty rough of Debbie to intentionally booby-trap Colt’s relationship with Jess. However, Debbie has said all along that Jess is not good for her son and that the 90 Day Fiance star needs to grow up. She could be right, seeing as Jess leaves Colt to return to an ex just because he is speaking to a friend she doesn’t like.

Of course, Colt suddenly revealing he was going to propose to Jess was a shock. As noted by Cinema Blend, this is exactly what Debbie was afraid of. She always believed jumping into another relationship this quickly after his divorce is a mistake. Now fans will have to wonder whether Colt will make up with Jess, or if Debbie totally gets her way.
