’90 Day Fiancé’ Fans Question Why Larissa Is Still Appearing With Her Criminal Record But Not Geoffrey?

90 Day Fiancé fans have come up with a valid question. This relates to two well-known cast members, Larissa Dos Santos Lima and Geoffrey Paschel. Geoffrey has a prison record and is also up on charges of domestic assault. Due to this, TLC cut ties with him.

Larissa has an arrest record for three incidents of domestic violence. Fans want to know how come Geoffrey lost his job, but Larissa stays with the show? Is this a case of double standards on TLC’s part?

90 Day Fiancé stars Larissa and domestic violence

Fans will remember Larissa moving from Brazil to Las Vegas to marry Colt Johnson. However, their marriage only lasted six months. The reason for this was the many altercations and arguments between Colt and Larissa. These led to her arrest three times on domestic violence charges.

While living with Colt, Larissa also had problems with his mother, Debbie. But then, who doesn’t? Larissa was also faced with possible deportation but managed to overcome this and is still in the US today.

Geoffrey and domestic assault charges

Now for a brief look at Geoffrey Paschel. Geoffrey is well known for traveling to Russia to ask Varya Malina to marry him. He proposes to her, but she doesn’t want to rush things. Varya had heard about his criminal record relating to a drug case, which gave her pause.

However, Varya decides to give Geoffrey a second chance and unexpectedly arrives at his home in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Russian beauty gets a shock when she finds Geoffrey with another woman, his long-time friend and girlfriend, Mary Wallace. The pair does get around the problem and Geoffrey proposes to Varya again and she accepts him this time. Whether they are still engaged is currently unknown.

However, there’s more. Besides a criminal record relating to drugs, Geoffrey faces accusations from a number of women for domestic violence. USA Today quotes one woman who accuses Paschel of assaulting her in the summer of 2019. According to the woman, Geoffrey repeatedly bashed her head into the hardwood floors of her home. He then dragged her through the home by her hair, throwing her body into furniture and walls. Other women in his previous life accused him of similar assault.

Geoffrey denies the assault but ends up with charges of domestic assault, vandalism, interference with emergency calls and aggravated kidnapping. These charges lead to Geoffrey not appearing on the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Tell-All. Varya stays away from the Tell-All in support of Geoffrey.

90 Day Fiancé star Geoffrey fired by TLC but not Larissa

Due to his assault charges, Geoffrey was fired by TLC and was unable to star in the Tell-All.  He is now only seen and heard from in interviews and social media posts.

However, Larissa, with all her drama, is still a cast member on 90 Day Fiancé. Currently, she appears on the latest season of the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? spinoff.

At the moment, Larissa is playing with the idea of dating Eric Nichols again. She started dating Eric after her divorce from Colt. Recently, Larissa’s friend Carmen kicked her out of her home because she has gone back to Eric. She is now sharing Nichols’ home with his roommate.

Viewers want to know why Larissa keeps getting more opportunities from TLC, while Geoffrey is out on his heinie. While fans acknowledge that Geoffrey’s actions were very wrong, they feel Larissa should get the same treatment. As asked by The Blast, is this a case of double standards on TLC’s part? Maybe women are not being taken as seriously for domestic abuse? However, it is possible that Larissa is still there because she is a fan favorite and Geoffrey has been known to be somewhat caustic sometimes!
