’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Melyza Opens Up About Tim’s Cheating And How Her Relationship is ‘Contaminated’

Melyza Zeta finally makes her debut on Monday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. She opens up about herself and her relationship with her boyfriend, Tim Clarkson. Melyza also talks about Tim’s admission that he cheated on her and says this has “contaminated” their relationship.

On the episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way of Monday, July 20, Melyza, 29, speaks about herself. She talks about her life and relationship with Tim, 34. In her confessional, she says she considers herself to be someone who is “good at heart.” However, she adds that it takes her a little longer to warm up to people. This often gives the impression that she is “kind of bitchy.” Melyza says she is very “family orientated.” She says her family is everything to her and that this is the Colombian way.

When Melyza was 20, she decided to move from Medellin in Colombia to work as an au pair in the United States. She says she wanted to learn English, live on her own and be independent. The 90 Day Fiancé star says she wasn’t looking for a relationship until she met Tim Clarkson while at college.

When it comes to men, Melyza doesn’t have a “type.” However, she says she wasn’t necessarily looking for a “white boy.” She meets Tim in a bar – she sees him and he sees her. When they start talking, Tim is “really very nice.” She describes him as “sweet” and “goofy,” because he makes her laugh and she likes that. Tim helps her to open up to people and see the “positive and fun side of life.”

Long-distance dating for Melyza and Tim

Following their meeting, Melyza tells Tim that she will eventually move back to Colombia. Tim insists they can continue to date long-distance when she is back home. Melyza says they were “very committed to each other.” She could definitely see herself marrying Tim and having children with him.

After dating long-distance for a while, Melyza decides to visit Tim in America. She stays with him for six months and during that time they figure out they could get along, living together. They were ultimately making plans to marry. However, there was a major problem. Soon after her arrival, Melyza discovers Tim has cheated on her with a female coworker.

According to Melyza, she “never in a million years” thought Tim was the type of person to cheat. She says the pain she was going through “completely consumed” her. Melyza is angry and upset, but she still loves him. However, she adds she has been with Tim for years now, so she believes he deserves a second chance.

Melyza’s mother speaks about 90 Day Fiancé star Tim

Melyza’s mother doesn’t agree with her. She says she feels “unsettled” to find out Tim was moving to Colombia to be with her daughter. Due to the cheating, she doesn’t think Tim is the right man for Melyza. However, she admits Tim leaving everything in America to move to Colombia was the “very least” he could do. By doing so, he can win Melyza’s trust back following his cheating. However, Tim must also prove to Melyza that he is fully committed to her. Moreover, Melyza will have to make decisions about their future.

As noted by In Touch, Melyza says her relationship with Tim has now been “contaminated” by all that happened. She says it will be a long road for Tim to earn her trust and prove he is changing. Zeta says in her confessional that she is hopeful for them as a couple. However, she needs to protect herself, as almost anything could separate them at this point.
