‘Mama June: From Not To Hot’: Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Starts Freshman Year At High School
Mama June: From Not To Hot saw Alana “Honey Boo Boo” move into her sister Pumpkin’s home as she assumed custody of her little sister. It all came about after the failed intervention on her mom June. Alana seemed extremely happy to move there and we saw her and Pumpkin speaking about her going to “real school.” Fans know that previously, she was homeschooled. Now, Pumpkin announced her little sister’s starting high school as a freshman.
Mama June: From Not To Hot fans grew concerned for Alana after drugs and arrests
In the last season of the show, fans and family alike grew concerned for Alana. Although this is reality TV and people expect some drama, this seemed all too real. TV Shows Ace reported, “Currently, the young girl is living with her older sister, Pumpkin. Based on all of the drama that is going down, it’s likely that Honey Boo Boo got desperate and couldn’t live with Mama June any longer. She may not have had much of a choice in the matter.”
The background involved June and Geno being arrested after June called the cops to an altercation. Arrested for possession of drugs and paraphernalia, she and Geno then started a round of hitting the casinos, and generally not playing the role of good parents. Several times, we saw June looked wasted from drug use, she fell down, and her teeth started falling out. Alana couldn’t handle it anymore and moved into Pumpkin’s home.
Living with Pumpkin after June blows Alana off
Fans of Mama June: From Hot To Not saw June blow Alana off. It came when we saw the young girl was in tears about the state of her mom and family. Alana said to June, “Do you not understand that I’m staying with my sister and that’s not by choice?” June just snapped back saying it “is a choice.” Soon, Pumpkin talked to Jennifer and Sugar Bear who agreed to sign over temporary custody to her.
Back then, they discussed Alana going to ‘real school.’ It seemed that Alana wanted the chance to study at school. So, they agreed she could live with Pumpkin and go to school. The provisions were that she must see her dad every second weekend. Also, she needs to produce her school reports. Now, it looks like finally, Alana got her wish. Pumpkin shared about it on her Instagram on Wednesday night.

Fans of Mama June: From Not To Hot admire Pumpkin for taking over custody of Alana. After all, she’s young, recently married, and has her own little baby. Certainly, though, it seems she’s being a great mom/sister to Alana. Alana looks happy, clean, and more relaxed these days. In the photo showing her about to start her new adventure at school, she’s wearing a huge smile.
Pumpkin captioned the post with, “Well everyone my little sister/ daughter is going to be a freshman in high school starting tomorrow morning😭😭. Where has the time gone? So excited to be going through this big adventure with you ❤️❤️ love you bunches.” Of course, may parents homeschool their kids, and in an instant, the pros and cons of schooling arose. However, if Alana gets to meet and mingle and make some friends, that’s not a bad thing for her. Hopefully, she settles in well.

Alana’s funds protected by attorney
While Pumpkin’s doing a fine job with being a mom to Alana, fans can rest assured she’s looked after. TV Shows Ace noted that safeguards were put in place to keep Alana’s money safe from misuse. We wrote, “TMZ reported that Pumpkin “can only use the money for Alana’s needs and benefit, and there are safeguards in place.” They added, “She also needs to show proof and receipts of where the money goes when she accesses the account.” That account’s also changed and Mama June has no access to it.”
