‘Sister Wives:’ Garrison Brown Starts Hawaiian Shirt Business, Changes To Non-Polygamy Church

Sister Wives: Garrison Brown 1

Sister Wives fans know that Garrison Brown, the son of Kody and Janelle Brown went off to join the National Guard. TV Shows Ace noted that came about two years back. In fact, that same report noted that the move to Flagstaff meant the Brown family lost a lot of closeness.

Actually, Meri’s daughter’s in Chicago, Janelle’s daughter Maddie Brown Brush went off to Northern Carolina and recently Aspyn, Christine’s daughter and her husband Mitch moved to Utah. Garrison remained in Nevada and now, it seems Robert Garrison Brown’s also moving away from the close family by changing the church he attends. Plus, he’s just started his own Hawaiian shirt business.

Sister Wives, Janelle congratulates Garrison on his Hawaiian shirts

Janelle Brown took to her Instagram to share about Garrison’s new Hawaiian shirt business online. She shared a pic to Sister Wives fans. Her caption was, “Garrison has taken his passion for Hawaiian shirts to a whole new level. Check out his website at bobs-floral.myshopify.com. Check it out just to read his captions. This kid’s sense of humor cracks us up all the time. Men’s and women’s shirts avail.#bobsfloralapparel @robertthebrown@bobsfloralapparel.”

Between his military duties, college, and enjoying fun times with friends, Garrison’s likely to need some cash, so maybe that’s why he started his shirt business. Lots of the Sister Wives women in the Brown family sell the LuLaroe clothing franchise, so maybe he knows the value of this type of enterprise. Rumors persist that the move to Flagstaff hurt the Brown family financially. Perhaps that’s why he decided to start earning a bit more on his own.

Independent Robert Garrison Brown changes churches

It’s normal that 20 to 25-year-olds move away from their family. Once done with higher education, or even while studying, they tend to expand their circle beyond that of family. Much like thousands of others, it looks like Garrison, who prefers the name Robert, goes to a different church. Now, that’s not earth-shattering news, but for the Brown family,  it could be.

CheatSheet noted that Redditors dug up a little nugget of news about Garrison’s faith. According to them, “Garrison’s parents belong to the Apostolic United Brethren, a sect that still practices the principle of polygamy. ” However, Garrison actually belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Sister Wives fans may not be aware that the church renounced polygamy multiple decades ago.

Garrison baptized in a non-polygamy church

Anyway, it looks like Robert’s been going to the non-polygamy church for years. A post by another church member welcomed him after his baptism. From the caption, it looks like Garrison’s been attending since he was a mid-teen. It reads, “7 years in the making and I couldn’t be more proud of @robertthebrown for making one of the best decisions of his entire life!!!!! Congrats on the baptism and so honored you asked me to baptize you!!!! Love ya dawg!!!! #welcometotheclub#storminmormons.”

What do you think about Garrison Brown changing to a church that does not allow polygamy? Do you think his new shirt business and different church indicates a move away from his family? Or is he just flexing his wings as young adults do right across the world? Sound off your thoughts in the comments below.
