‘7 Little Johnstons’ Emma Supports Local Hometown Business With Her Birthday Money
7 Little Johnstons fans saw that Emma assumed a leadership position with the kids’ camp. She took over a bit more responsibility now that Anna left for college. So, the family held a practice session at home and had fun making slime. Now, she showed how much she’s maturing as she used her birthday money to support local small businesses.

Emma showed that she took on a leadership role with enthusiasm in the last season of the TLC show. While she and her siblings enjoyed making slime and the fact that Trent stained his clothes with it, she stepped up eagerly. And now, she showed how much she’s growing up. The official Instagram account for the show revealed that she made certain she spent her birthday money wisely. Emma shopped locally at small businesses.
The 7 Little Johnstons notice about it came in a post that showed her holding her money In another photo, she posed for a photo at Wild + Rooted. Another picture showed her outside a hometown gift shop. The caption read, “Every year we give the kids $100 for their birthday to do with what they want.” The children choose what they wish with their money. Options include “a party, purchase a big item or save!” They noted, “This year, Emma decided she wanted to support local small businesses and that’s exactly what she did.”
Shoutout out for local businesses
In a way, the family also supported local businesses in the Instagram post. They directly tagged a person who sells nail art design via Color Street. Another one tagged included Sparrow & sage – a clothing place described as run by a MomBoss. Fans of the show commented on their feelings on it. One said, “Good job, Emma! And thank you Amber and Trent for raising good, thoughtful, caring and decent humans.”
Another 7 Little Johnstons fan noted, “Such a beautiful soul! Happy birthday Emma! 🥳.” One local person wrote, “That’s amazing my neighbor works for color street she will really appreciate it.” One person noted that really Emma just took her money and went shopping. But, it takes a conscious decision to support local. And, local businesses could use some patronage. Bear in mind, the coronavirus impacted badly on many small business owners.

Emma grows up
Emma’s growing up and last season fans saw that she fell in love. Plus, she went and saw a speech therapist which helped boost her confidence ahead of becoming a camp leader for an arts and science camp. Emma tackles the problems with her speech with determination but sets the bar high for herself. Certainly, fans think she’s maturing into a well-rounded individual.
