Andy Cohen Visits Rehomed Dog Wacha, Says He’s Happy And Settled
Andy Cohen told his fans back at the end of May, that he rehomed his rescue dog, Wacha. He and Wacha spent seven years of their lives together, so he found it very hard. But, now he updated about Wacha and said that he visits the doggie. Apparently, Wacha settled in and seems very happy in his new home.
Andy Cohen disabled comments on his first post about Wacha’s new home
When Andy shared the news about Wacha being sent away, he closed off the comments in his Instagram account. We noted that’s rather unusual for the Bravo host. But, perhaps he expected a lot of heat from people. After all, rescue pets are hot topics. Recall the huge drama during Season 9 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It covered a long drama after Dorit Kemsley gave away her rescue dog. Maybe, Andy recalled all of that.
Andy felt very sad about sending Wacha way. But People noted that he still visits his old doggie companion. The outlet reported that he spoke about it on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy. In the article, People reminded fans that Andy Cohen took some professional advice about Wacha. It came after some “random aggression.'” So, Andy worried about his son Benjamin. Trainers told him that if Benjamin got hurt then he might end up needing to “destroy” Wacha. Andy couldn’t bear the thought of that.
Wacha and Andy still see each other
Andy said that he wanted his fans to know that Wacha’s not unhappy. “He is happy,”‘ Andy stated. Plus, he mentioned that he took Wacha out for “an hour walk.” No plans emerge to show a total severing of his relationship with his pup. Andy’s determined he’ll plan on seeing Wacha going forward. He noted that the pooch seems totally fine and exhibited no depression when he saw him. Once again, he revisited the “heartbreak” of rehoming his dog.
He assured fans that Wacha remains a part of his life. In fact, he stated that “this dog [stays in his life].” The Bravo host added, “It’s just not anything I could have imagined would happen, but it did.” The depth of his feelings for Wacha seems very real. His original post that Andy shared noted, “My dog changed me. He opened me up to love…to caring.” Andy believes that helped him accept the fact that he could love and care for a child of his very own.

Avoiding the worst outcome
Somehow, it seems a bit tragic that Andy Cohen now parents Benjamin, but the doggie that taught him about love got sent away. However, most people fully understand that Andy felt conflicted about endangering both of them. He noted that if Wacha ended up destroyed, it would be the worst possible outcome. Do you agree?
