Neighbor Disputes Often End Badly
The Bible tells us to “Love thy neighbor,” but it’s not always easy. Disagreements between neighbors start as annoyances but can take a dangerous turn if not resolved. Some of the more common neighbor disputes are property lines, noise complaints, and pets.
The disputes are usually resolved by simply talking it over or involving the cops. But in rare instances, disagreements between neighbors can turn deadly. One man in Florida went on a killing spree and murdered his own pets in a vendetta with his neighbor.

Florida Man Arrested, Decapitated & Ate His Own Pets
A 61-year-old man from Hudson, Florida, is in jail after decapitating and eating his own pets. He vowed to kill the rest of his pets if he were released from jail. The shocking murder spree happened because he wanted to get back at his neighbor.
Craig Vogt is accused of killing and cooking two of his own pet peacocks. He allegedly left a detailed note about what he did in a neighbor’s mailbox. According to the Florida man, he decapitated the peacocks and then cooked them in a frying pan.
PEOPLE magazine reported that he did the horrible act “out of spite” because his neighbor kept feeding the peacocks. He was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals causing excessive pain or death, a third-degree felony.

Peacocks Are A Nuisance In Florida
Hudson, Florida, is located about an hour from Tampa on the west coast of the Sunshine State. It is one of the many areas of the state that is under siege from peacocks.
While the animals are beautiful, they can be a nuisance. The local news reported a few months ago about a community in Orlando that was infested with peacocks.
“There’s feces everywhere and the kids play in the ground, you know that has so much bacteria, so that’s one of the things we’re worried about,” a resident of the Villas at Costa del Sol told the news.

The peacocks reportedly also chase the kids and cause damage to vehicles with their beaks. The news reported that, by Florida law, it is the residents’ responsibility to handle the peacock overpopulation. But they didn’t mean by decapitating them and eating them like the man from Hudson, Florida allegedly did.
