‘Home Town’ Erin Napier Gives Update On Ben’s ‘Destroyed’ Ankle
Erin and Ben Napier are the duo behind HGTV’s beloved Home Town franchise. The couple met when they were in college. After graduating, they moved to Erin’s hometown of Laurel, Mississippi. Their blog about renovating a 1920s home caught the eye of HGTV.
The network created a show about the couple renovating spaces in Laurel. Home Town debuted in 2016. The show spawned spinoffs and has been renewed through 2027. Season 10 is expected to premiere later this year.
Ben and Erin Napier tied the knot in 2008 and have two daughters. They recently took a family trip to Scotland to explore Ben’s Scottish heritage. Now that they’re back home, Erin shared an update on her husband’s “shattered” ankle after an injury.
Erin Napier Shares House Chore That Caused Marital Strain
Erin and Ben Napier celebrate their 17th wedding anniversary later this year. They married at the University of Mississippi’s Paris Yates Chapel in 2008. After nearly two decades together, the couple is bound to have disagreements.
During a recent appearance on The Heirloom Podcast, Erin Napier shared a story about a basic house chore that caused major stress in her marriage to Ben Napier. She recounted a time when they had to take out an overflowing trash can, but the bags kept ripping open.
It sounds like a silly thing to argue about. But many married couples will tell you that it’s the simplest things that lead to the biggest arguments.

“We got the trash to the road and the trash is gone now … But anyway, what I want you to know is that it tested our marriage for about seven minutes. It was tough,” Erin Napier said about the incident.
Home Town Star Gives Update On Husband Ben’s ‘Destroyed’ Ankle
Erin and Ben Napier took an epic summer vacation to Scotland. But it wasn’t walking the hilly terrain or cobblestone sidewalks that left Ben Napier with a “destroyed” ankle.
His wife recently took to Instagram to share an update on her husband’s injury. She revealed that his ankle was injured a long time ago while playing basketball. But all these years later, it’s still a painful injury. In fact, his doctors recommend an ankle replacement because the ankle is also riddled with arthritis now.
Surgery to replace the ankle may happen in the future. But for now, Ben Napier tried a new treatment that took his pain level from a twelve to a four.
Erin Napier’s brother, Clark Rasberry, is a doctor at a physical therapy clinic. Erin shared a video on Instagram of her brother treating Ben with a “magic machine.”
