Savannah Guthrie Celebrates Book Anniversary

Savannah Guthrie published her new children’s book, Mostly What God Does Is Love You, on February 25. The book has been a massive hit since its release. Guthrie celebrated the moment with Drew Barrymore in a segment that aired on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday. The segment showed Savannah and Drew getting new tattoos on camera (via Page Six).

Celebrity tattoo artists inked Drew and Savannah. Savannah’s tattoo also had a very special meaning for the morning talk show host. The tattoo was of sentimental hearts that her children, Vale and Charley, previously drew on her wrist. As for Drew, she got the word “Time” tattooed on her wrist.

Drew and Savannah also got tattoos together in 2023.

Savannah Guthrie Only Had One Tattoo Before This

Before this moment celebrating her bestselling children’s book, Savannah Guthrie and Drew Barrymore got tattoos together back in 2023. No cameras were rolling when Drew and Savannah got their tattoos last time. According to Savannah, that tattoo also had a special meaning for the talk show host.

That tattoo was the only one she had on her body. She said that was because it had a special meaning. It was a tribute to her late father. The tattoo features the words “all my love” and is in her father’s handwriting. The host said the tattoo reminded her to keep herself grounded and focused.

“This is an exact carbon copy of my father’s handwriting. He wrote a love letter to my mom, and this is his writing… And it’s not only his writing, so he’s with me, but I’m trying to make it my mantra for life,” Savannah said. Her dad died from a heart attack when she was 16. As for Drew, she had a tattoo of her kids names (Olive and Frankie) and the word “breathe.”

However, she has now added a second tattoo, which has special meaning because it was something her kids drew. Since her goal was to write a book that was geared towards kids, it makes her children’s drawings really fit in with the tattoo.
