The streaming service that features the most shows that include LGBTQIA+ is Netflix. The popular streaming service has several reality dating shows that focus on LGBTQIA+ couples.
Shows you can find on Netflix include Who Likes My Follower?, The Ultimatum: Queer Love, Perfect Match Season 1, Dating Around, and The Boyfriend. Each of these shows specifically focuses on LGBTQIA+ individuals. Viewers can watch the most scandalous dating drama unfold and follow along with characters they can relate to. While many streaming services have shows that feature LQBTQIA+ individuals Netflix has the largest library of specifically reality TV shows.
A close second to Netflix is the streaming service Paramount+. On Paramount+ viewers can watch Next, Are You The One? Season 8, and Love Allways. These popular dating shows focus on representing LGBTQIA+ individuals who are looking to find love. Viewers now have lots of options for following along in the best of reality TV, while seeing individuals who represent their community.

Findings from the “LGBTQ Inclusion in Advertising and Media” study by GLAAD and Procter & Gamble (P&G) show that “80% of those exposed to LGBTQ representation in the media are more supportive of equal rights for LGBTQ people, compared to 70% without such exposure.” Media consumption has an important role in shaping the beliefs that society holds.
When LQBTQIA+ individuals see others like them in media it affirms their experiences. It can foster support for their identities, experiences, and emotions. Representations of LGBTQIA+ individuals in media show that their love, struggles, and dreams are valid and just as important as the rest of society. Inclusive media promotes a sense of belonging for all.
