‘GMA’ Michael Strahan Mocks Terry Bradshaw’s Musical Moment
While many fans have gotten to know Michael Strahan better from his Good Morning America appearances, he has always been a major part of the NFL. He works on the NFL’s Sunday studio show with several other past stars, including Terry Bradshaw. However, this past Sunday, he had some fun with Bradshaw after a cringeworthy singing moment.
Here is what happened between Strahan and Bradshaw.
Terry Bradshaw Cuts Off Michael Strahan During Game Breakdown
When Michael Strahan isn’t on Good Morning America, fans can still catch him in the NFL on Fox on Sundays. He is one of the co-hosts of the studio show. He works alongside former Dallas Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson, Oakland Raiders defensive star Howie Long, and Pittsburgh Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw.
Strahan, a former defensive powerhouse for the New York Giants, has a great relationship with the other hosts. It is also to the point where they often like to poke fun at each other. With newcomer Rob Gronkowski coming in, they have targeted him a lot, but they still like to share insults with each other as well.
That happened on Sunday when Strahan talked about the upcoming Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions game. Strahan discussed about how defensive star Aidan Hutchinson could be a difference-maker for the Lions. Strahan, who had 141.5 career sacks as a player (via Pro Football Reference), said that Hutchinson always pressured the opposing quarterbacks.
That led to Terry Bradshaw interrupting him with a random thought that had nothing to do with the breakdown. Bradshaw cut in and said, “I did the song already. Pressure!”
Michael Strahan Mocks Terry Bradshaw Singing
Michael Strahan seemed a little perturbed that Terry Bradshaw interrupted his game breakdown. Strahan was flowing while discussing the defense and Hutchinson, and Bradshaw seemed to want to make a random joke, breaking his co-host’s concentration.
To explain the joke, earlier in the episode, Bradshaw discussed the New England Patriots benching their starting quarterback, Jacoby Brissett, and starting rookie Drake Maye instead. This was when Bradshaw decided he wanted to explain the pressure that Maye was under and did so with a song.
Bradshaw thought the quarterback change was a terrible move and then mentioned Freddy Mercury and Queen and started singing “Under Pressure.” This did not go over well with his co-hosts. Strahan quickly said, “Please don’t do that. Please don’t do that again,” mocking Bradshaw’s singing.
“Freddie Mercury’s rolling over [in] his grave,” Howie Long said.
While Bradshaw interrupted Strahan’s flow of thought by calling back to his earlier song, it might have also been revenge for the GMA star insulting his singing as well.
