‘Chicago P.D.’ Alums Tease Romantic Connection
Chicago P.D. fans fell in love with Detective Hailey Upton Halstead and Senior Detective Jay Halstead during their long runs on the show. Sadly, their marriage ended at the start of Season 11, and fans were devastated. Both characters have left the series, but there might be good news in real life.
There are rumors that actors Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer might have a connection in real life after playing husband and wife on the hit police procedural. Here is what you need to know.
Chicago P.D. Actors Tease Romance
Tracy Spiridakos shared snaps, as she posted a photo dump on Instagram showing a trip to Lisbon. She captioned the batch, “Lisbon, you’re a beauty.” The first one had her and Jesse Lee Soffer posing for a selfie together.
The photos were from Tracy and Jesse’s trip to Lisbon, Portugal. Most of the other photos were of the sites they saw on the trip, although there was one more of Tracy posing at a restaurant, enjoying a meal. Jesse also shared the photo of them, with the caption:
- “Europe is is kinda cool 😘😘.”
This could be great news for the couple that fans already nicknamed “Upstead,” based on their names from Chicago P.D.
On Chicago P.D., Upton and Halstead got married in Season 9, but their marriage ended in Season 11. Halstead resigns in Season 10 after he becomes disillusioned with the grey areas in which they work. He returns to the Army and sets out to hunt down drug cartels in Bolivia. This led to their divorce on the show.
Halstead left after Season 10, and Spiridakos left the show after Season 11.
Fans Praised The Possible Chicago P.D. Reunion
Fans loved Upton and Halstead on Chicago P.D. That made them very happy to see Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer in these photos. The idea that they might have taken their on-screen romance off-screen was exciting.
