‘Bachelor’ Alum James McCoy Taylor Arrested, What Happened?
Bachelor alum James McCoy Taylor had an interesting Sunday. Police officers arrested him over the weekend. News broke that police arrested him on Sunday in Texas. Why did cops take him into custody? Keep reading to find out more.
James McCoy Taylor Arrested In Texas
Bachelor alum James McCoy Taylor was arrested on Sunday. PageSix reported the incident after speaking with a public information officer from the College Station Police Department, David Simmons. According to Simmons, James’ arrest took place in the Northgate entertainment district of Brazos County, Texas.
Simmons went on to share that officers took James into custody based on warrants the Bryan Police Department had on him. The charges were reportedly for assault.
Police booked James into jail and charged him with assault causing bodily injury and unlawful restraint. The incident did not just happen and actually occurred on April 24.
He didn’t stay in jail long. Pictures obtained by the news outlet showed James smiling in his mugshot. After being processed, police released him later that day on an $8,000 bond.
So far he has not addressed the arrest and there is no word about who he assaulted or why. James is known to be very vocal about his political stance which has angered some in the past.
He Previously Faced Charges
This isn’t the first time Bachelorette alum James McCoy Taylor has had a run-in with the law. In 2022 police arrested him for driving under the influence. The judge temporarily suspended his driver’s license. He also served five days in jail for the incident.
Fans were introduced to Taylor when he appeared on JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette. He did make it rather far on the show. James went all the way to 5th place which is right before hometown dates.
He has been an aspiring musician in Texas since his time on the show in 2016. James creates a lot of music that shows support for President Trump, the United States Military and Law Enforcement.

He expressed in the past that he is no longer a part of Bachelor Nation because of its creator Mike Fleiss. James faced accusations of being at the January 6 rally in Washington D.C. He has adamantly denied being there. However, this is reportedly why Fleiss allegedly exiled him from The Bachelor franchise.
