Last week, Candace Cameron Bure’s daughter, Natasha Bure, joined The Sit and Chat podcast with Jake Short and her boyfriend, Bradley Steven Perry. Furthermore, as she reflects on her 2016 audition for The Voice, she expresses, “I have nightmares about it.” Additionally, she says, “I hated it.” While she didn’t truly know if she wanted a music career, she and her mom had discussed branching out and challenging herself. So when she got the invitation to perform on The Voice, she took the chance.
However, she recalls being split up from her parents during the auditions. Additionally, when she caught a glimpse of them before performing, she broke down in tears with the pressure. Undeniably, it is difficult to perform before a live audience and coaches. But unlike other contestants, she also has two widely known parents and she knew it would be a public matter. Without a doubt, that was a burden weighing even heavier on her that she needed to do well. She explains, “Adam Levine turned in the first maybe ten seconds of singing, and then the rest of the song could not have sounded worse – like, actually, it was really unfortunate.” Sadly, she feels he may have regretted his decision.
Her Audition Lives On
During The Voice Season 11 episode 5, she performed for Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Alicia Keys, and Miley Cyrus. While she isn’t proud of her audition, she made it a few rounds before elimination. Thanks to good ‘ol YouTube, the audition lives on in more than just Natasha Bure’s nightmares. Candace Cameron Bure can be seen jumping for joy when Adam spins his chair. Additionally, Blake notes, “Lots of cool stuff in there,” while listening to her voice. However, he doesn’t turn.
Adam Levine Was Confident
Alicia and Miley continue to listen trying to make up their minds about her sound. Although Natasha feels embarrassed about the audition, it wasn’t perfect but the judges heard things they liked. On the other hand, Adam was confident early on he could tell her potential. For instance, he slams the red button with just a few bars of vocals.
Candace Cameron Bure’s Daughter Faces Her Fears
Although The Voice didn’t ultimately work out for Candace Cameron Bure’s daughter, Natasha, she was brave to face her fear. Undeniably, it hasn’t held her back from moving forward with other great successes. For instance, she has already acted in several Hallmark movies since that time. Likewise, her boyfriend, Bradley Steven Perry, points out that singing competition shows don’t carry as much weight as they used to. However, they acknowledge that several successful artists came from the early seasons of shows like American Idol.
