That is her husband, Jonathan Owens, and he seems more than excited to see what his talented wife will do this summer.

Simone Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, are a big power couple in the world of athletics. Simone and Jonathan got married on April 22, 2023, at a courthouse in Houston, Texas. They then had their actual wedding in Mexico a few weeks later.

“Gymnastics is just something I get to come in and have the privilege of doing,” Simone said (via PEOPLE). “I don’t feel like it’s the end all be all anymore, as before I kind of felt like that. I get to go home to my husband, to my dogs, to my house and all of the things. So it feels really good.”
However, there are many fans who hate Jonathan, no matter how much Simone loves him. In 2019, he was interviewed about dating Simone, and he said that he didn’t know who she was when he saw her on a dating app. When asked if she was “a catch,” Owens said that, “I always say the men are the catch.”
That was all it took to turn fans against them.

Jonathan Owens is an NFL football star. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals in 2018 as an undrafted free agent. A knee injury stalled his career, but in 2024, he signed a two-year deal with the Chicago Bears after playing for both the Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans.

Fans will often see Biles attending the NFL games to watch her husband play. However, when looking at comments on social media, it is clear that her fans don’t approve of the man that she loves.

As far as she is concerned, she doesn’t need those fans if they are. “Y’all are blatantly being disrespectful to my relationship & my husband,” she wrote. “So I’m gonna go ahead and say this one time … Respectfully, f*** off.” She also said she would block anyone who disrespects her husband (via PEOPLE).

I truly love both of them and I pray for their marriage to always stay strong. no disrespect to Simone and her marriage, but even if it’s a personal joke between them too, when asking a man, your husband, who is the catch, the answer should have been Simone. I find that arrogant nature and disrespectful to her whether she found that it wasn’t good for her, other than that, you go on with your marriage and enjoy your life never liked and a man .

I want express my comment on this matter. I say Move forward you two because your marriage is between the two of you and God. If fans don’t send love your way especially during this history making event then you don’t need to hear what they have to say. How is it that people can never forgive. This young man was just that in 2019 a young man. We make and say things that if done again would never happen. Okay maybe he didn’t understand the magnitude of what this young woman had to offer. It was not to be at that time. One thing whatever you’re destined to have will and is in your future.
They were destined for each other and I am happy for them. You naysayers should hope that the creator puts someone that loves you like they do in your future. To you two I hope you enjoy a long, prosperous and joyous life together. My husband and I enjoyed 51 years of love before he died. I still love his memory today as much as I loved him before his transition.

People can be so sensitive to things. My husband and will occasionally say things like this to each other. He will say, you know you gorgeous a good catch. , or your lucky you have a great husband like me. First and foremost, I don’t feel that is a question that should never be asked of either spouse. Since it was asked of Jonathan, he should have responded that Simone was the better catch and vice versa asked of Simone. She would say Jonathan was the better catch or they could’ve said we both are the better for both of us. What goes on in a couples marriage is a couples business and no one else should be judgmental of what they do or don’t do if it’s good for them and they are comfortable with it then it should be acceptable to everybody else.
