What We Know About Lucky’s Return
General Hospital has been keeping cast changes close to the vest lately. The show surprised viewers at the 60th-anniversary special in January by announcing fan-favorite Steve Burton’s return as Jason Morgan three years after he was fired for refusing COVID vaccinations.
Michael Easton revealed in June that he was leaving his role as Hamilton Finn literally one day before his last episode aired. That same month, Jonathan Jackson made the shocking announcement that he was returning to the role of Lucky Spencer. He played the role off and on from 1993 until his last exit in 2015. Of course, GH fans were always chattering about the possibility of his return, but the actual announcement came out of left field.
At the time, it was reported that Lucky Spencer would return later this summer. No new details have been released yet, including his return date or possible storylines. However, the actor will likely let fans know via social media when he begins filming for his return.
GH seemed to drop a huge hint last week that Lulu Spencer will finally come out of the coma she’s been in since 2020.
Tony Geary’s Reunion With Former Co-Star Sparks Rumors Of His Return
With Lucky back in town and Lulu possibly waking up, now would be the perfect time for Tony Geary to return as the family patriarch, Luke Spencer. He left the show in 2015 and moved to the Netherlands permanently. One of his former co-stars recently traveled to Amsterdam and met up with him.

Ahead of his return to the ABC soap, Jonathan Jackson shared how much he loved working with Tony Geary. The two were always close during their time together on the show. But would that be enough to lure the actor out of retirement? Maybe.
If it is, the soap would have no problem bringing Luke Spencer back from the dead. The character was killed off in 2022.
