‘The Middle Alums Eden Sher, Brock Ciarlelli Share Pilot Of Canceled Spinoff
Six years ago, ABC’s hit comedy The Middle ended. However, Eden Sher and Brock Ciarlelli, who portrayed Sue and her best pal Brad, have just revealed that there was a spinoff pilot made. This was for the series tentatively titled Sue Sue In The City.

ABC Filmed The Middle Spinoff Pilot Starring Eden Sher And Brock Ciarlelli
On Tuesday, The Middle alums Eden Sher and Brock Ciarlelli went to Instagram with some shocking news. They filmed a pilot spinoff for the OG series, but ABC canceled it. They explained that they were feeling great because the original series had just ended. Moreover, people seemed excited about the prospect for more. ABC ordered the pilot in August 2018. This was Sue Heck after college and in the real world.
Eden explained, ” We did film it, and it was pretty devastating when it didn’t go.” She shared that the worst of it was that “It was a really good show.”

In this canceled series, Sue moves to Chicago and saves a hotel. They also talked about their characters and when Brad showed up to make Sue’s day. She was down, and he helped turn around her frown.

Eden And Brock Are Hosting Middling With Eden And Brock
In addition to details about The Middle spinoff that was canceled, fans do get a special treat. Eden and Brock are hosting a podcast called Middling With Eden and Brock. They will talk extensively about this failed Sue Sue In The City. They will also talk about each episode. This premieres on July 31 and will be available wherever you listen to podcasts.
One fan asked whether there would be some structure in this podcast. They loved Pod Meets World and Office Ladies, but others were not great due to a lack of structure.
Brock Ciarlelli replied to this fan’s request. “Oh don’t you worry! We’re releasing two episodes on July 31st. One of them is a bit more free-form where we talk about our spinoff for ABC and our casting process. And in the next episode, we recap the Pilot of The Middle – and there is so much structure!! And we use that structure whenever we recap episodes! We got you, bb.”
